I have to say that's a pretty impressive line up! We've done a bottle of Prosecco (as it's the first weekend of the month) and are now on the scotch.

Do you want to put your coffee orders in now?

Topped up the wine rack earlier. There are two bottles fewer now though after our music night listening to Lowgold from 2000. Not bad for a shoe-gazey album.

So - I’ve just been out and picked up my Christmas Day wine choices....

What will you all be drinking?

Some bubbles at breakfast, Veuve (with some smoked salmon bagels).

Lunch and the afternoon will undoubtably involve further Bubbles followed by Chardonnay (Wente).
G&t’s likely to make an appearance at some point.

Personally i’d Prefer to be on the Shiraz/port but this year we are at the in-laws and in their wisdom they have recently installed an off white carpet.

I don’t wanna be responsible for the complete breakdown in relations due to accidental spillage.

What you drinking Jon?

Sounds good Wattie!

2020 has been such a **** year, and I’m going to be super happy it’s over, so I’ve gone fairly big...

We have got some:

Don Perignon (courtesy of credit card reward points)
Puligny-Montrachet
a nice zesty Chablis Grand Cru
and the bit I’m most excited by - a 2016 Alion Ribera del Douro

I was gifted a bottle of (slightly older) Alion for my 40th, and it’s in my top 5 reds of all time, so I’m hoping this lives up to my expectations!
