Did you enjoy Ignition and have they extended the parking yet?

Just resurrecting this conversation as Ignition Cars and Coffee have announced that they have closed with immediate effect. Said that the landlord was altering the lease so he couldn‘t control the car park, making the business unviable.

Some cryptic comments about future projects. Some have interpreted it as them reopening somewhere else, but I read it as meaning they were going to arrange the occasional event somewhere. Will see I guess.

Yes have just read the announcement and it is sad that they’ve had to close. Looks like the other businesses have gotten their way and this is a great shame. I read it that they may have another venue lined up albeit much larger, hence the reference to the motto “go big or go home”, but you could well be right, hopefully the date in October will be the unveiling?

Gutted also as I have a Club drive out planned from Nottm to the Motorist next Friday and the plan was to have breakfast on the way at Ignition…..

Think you might be right. Looks like new place will be in a completely different area though. He references it being tough to run Ignition so far from where he lives. Think that means something new will be Lincs area.

The reference to occasional meets in the Peaks is probably the one offs for customers local to the current site.

New one will be better size I’m sure, but location might not be as good, the roads are great round the site now.

Just cleaned off the sticky gunk off my headlight switch and rear vents. All is sticky free now (thanks to Rowland) apart from hazard button/glove box handle/internal door lock switches. Does anyone know what is under the gunk on these? Can they just be cleaned off like the vents and steering wheel cowling ect.

Sat in it. Washed the Saharan dust off it ready for a run out to a local show tomorrow. Looked at it. Sat in it. Sat in it some more. Realised it's actually mine. Smiled.

Went for a drive up to Belton House with the wife and Villanelle. Got there and it was closed So detoured to Easton Walled Garden just off the A1. First visit and really quite wonderful. And some nice back roads to check that sports mode is still working fine....
