No finer 4 door car. And no diesels or Chrysler parts. Alfa parts yeah, but that's acceptable.....just get another QPV. nothing yet made to compete.
Perhaps the market segment no longer exists? Luxury loving lunatics, who love tactile thrills in spectacularly styled luxury. Can also take family on holiday / four 20 inch wheels to the tyre shop. / bike on the back seat to cycle home from servicing drop off. Add sunroof for jobbing joiners.
why? no DS!!!
I guess this is why it is not such an easy question to answer.just get another QPV. nothing yet made to compete.

So technically that would leave you without a Maserati......? Not necessarily a comfortable place to be......?I keep worrying about what I will replace the QP with when the time comes. I have a fun weekend car and a DB9 but I do need a big comfy GT car with character occasionally, either when I have family to transport or when I feel the need for a super comfortable car for a long journey.
I’m probably at least a year away from changing the QP. But I do love the whole car buying/obsessing process.
I need 4 proper seats and some soul. So, where next? Has anyone done this change?
Jaguar XJ?
Dean/Rockits had one last year and for bargain money. I was impressed.
Dean has ‘the knack’ of finding shrewd bargains.
but does it feel like an orthopaedic shoe? (or anything else bought from a Sunday supplement)Now that's a decent idea as it's not rocketship money like lots of the ideas....If we are talking about this type of car then an M5 is well worth a look. Yes you will get those who say it hasn't got Italian passion...(what ever that means) ....but it's a weapon. 20k gets a 20012/2013 car .....560bhp, 30 plus MPG an0 to 60 in 4.1 seconds.
Maserati arguably went down that path with the influx of Ghiblis and Levantes. I understand the Levante is needed for today’s market but the Ghibli imo was a huge mistake and should’ve been a new Alfa instead. For me it also boils down to how many other examples of the marque you will see on the roads. Merc, BMW, Audi may have some great saloons at the top of their ranges, but they are diluted by more or less the same shape in a range of different models and by a plethora of other types so it's not very exciting to see another one or own one (for me) at least. Therefore It would have to be something more rarified, with star quality and with some performance. So it would be a Maserati, Aston, Bently, Lambo etc and possibly Porche at a pinch.
An therein lies the rub. Not alot to choose from. I fear for a saloon, it's probably an evolutionary dead end to be surplanted by the SUV

Fortunately my 1977 Maserati Merak is a keeper (God willing). So technically that would leave you without a Maserati......? Not necessarily a comfortable place to be......?

Bentley Continental for me but they are bloomin' expensive to maintain
