I've just had an email to say that my Starling DD has been rejected though it doesn't say who by. Will get onto Starling tomorrow and see if it was them. A bit of Googling suggests that no UK bank should be rejected since the UK is part of SEPA but will update here once I speak to the bank.

My tag turned up this morning but the email says it's suspended until I sort out the DD.
Seems a little silly. My tag turned up and no such message yetm so I guess Lloyds is good.

For the tag, if your main bank account isn't supported, get yourself a Revolut account and use that for all overseas transactions. It's definitely ok with the Vinci tag, which works in France, Spain, Italy and Portugal - which is what I need for my next Euro trip - which is pretty much the reverse of your trip around the same date. I will be checking in to the hotel in Logrono on the evening of the 21st Sept - I'm sure they'll appreciate just one Maserati trying to access the basement car park rather than 12 at once.

Motorway tags...

Seems to be a Coutts problem as I have had a similar rejection from Ulys (Vinci) as well. Would be great to know which banks have worked for either of these providers.

So far I think I have seen Lloyd's and Starling have worked.
Barclays works too

Let's hope you behave and don't get all us Maserati drivers banned.

All packed, was going to wash the car but it’s raining! Bye bye Manchester. See you at the Copthorne this evening.

Have a funtastic road trip uall - hopefully free from local law enforcement and need for cable ties.

If you're tempted to press the go faster pedal- best do it between 12 noon and 2pm!! Our friends on the continent are serious about eating. Nowhere is this more evident than at lunchtime, when entire nations sits down for a proper meal (the biggest and most important meal of the day- apparently). Over 95% of French people do this and Italy and Spain are not far behind them. Stores and doctor’s offices close. No one answers the phone and law enforcement are generally absent from duty. The mid-day meal is sacred so make the most of it!!.
