Just done the Dunsfold weekend with my Falken 452s and they performed very well. A bit shouldered now but enough grip to outbrake/overtake a 430 into the second last and to out-drag a 5 litre Mustang down the start/finish straight. Good tyres. EnzoMC, you should have introduced yourself, I would have given you a freebe!

I gave a really nice, polite young lad a ride and before we set off we had a chat and I asked him what his favourite car was and he said Ferrari. I did 4 quick laps and off he trotted. The next car he rode in was Franks GTS because Maseratis were now the only cars he wanted to ride in! Another convert.

Too early to say something myself yet, only that they seem to offer more comfort and less noise indeed ( compared to the FK452).
But i found.the first two revieuws on the net:
http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Falken/FK453.htm

Just been looking at these (Falken 453s) and I can't make my mind up about them; the central grooves look very wide, leaving less rubber on the road and the side sipes don't link into those deep grooves which would surely reduce their water clearing ability. Could less rubber on the road be why the noise is less and why the M3 CSL driver in the review was struggling to put the power down? It will be interesting to hear how you get on with them Boomerang.

As i just updated the Dutch Maseratichat about the Falkens, i was allready thinking about this forum as well.

As you know i have chosen the 275 for the rears and while still running the old uneven worn Firestones at the front, i was not amused about the extra tramlining that i experienced.
Because of that, we decided to allign the car.
After that, tramlining even seemed to have gotten worse.
I thought i had made a huge mistake mounting the one step broader rears.
Yesterdayevening i exhanged the fronts as well and i am stunned!
No tramlining anymore, no rumble, in fact very quiet and smooth.
The influence of the bad fronttires was HUGE.
Very positve about the Falkens yet again.
As i mounted and balanced the tires myselve, i was supprised about this very precicely produced japanese product, as i noticed at the rears allready.
I will let you know how the FK's 453 will do further down the line, but for now i am very very pleased!
