Replaced the Front Discs and Pads today, with Ferrari 550 Brembo's and Mintex 1175 pads.
Nice easy job, took all of 1 hour, the old discs, just like the Fronts, were pretty much corroded
and had quite a lip on the edges for 55,000 miles!!

Stands on it's beautifull nose, your pads are probably too hard, have you tried getting the brakes REALLY hot,
and then see what they are like.
They are a big improvement from the old discs and pads, as the old discs were shot, badly scored and had worn quite a lip to the edges, they also had rubbish pads in them, crappy EBC yellow stuff.
The whole lot, Front and Rear Brembo Discs and new Mintex 1144 Compound Pads all round cost me less than £300.

That's an excellent price, especially when compared to this ...

I've just put new discs and formula EBC yellow pads on my 335D and they are fantastic. Easily pulling up from 140+ without judder or fade. Discs go blue quite nicely but not seen any fade as yet. The new yellow stuff is sooo much better than the old formula and I'm seriously thinking of putting them on the rear of my spyder when I change the discs in the very near future.

I have DS2500 on the front and Yellow stuff on the back....No brake fade whatsoever, work ok in the cold, but obviously a lot better when slightly warmed, which is most of the time :) Brembo 550 discs front and rear too...

That's exactly the spec mine will be. Good to know it works well!

I have always found Mintex Pads to have more stopping power, and always reliable.
