Well......doing the chemical stripping and using a nylon brush finisher......cost in materials about £170......remainder sand blasting around £250....very old metal, just don't want to give him a chance to stress/ripple bigger outer panels. The doors, boot lid and bonnet are all aluminium, so gentle stripping only with chemical.

Body man has to mainly do floors, inner bulk head areas, boot floors and rear valances...but will be getting other panels made up for him combo intermediate outer sills already made up.

Might have a pic of sills somewheres

...the grille was nearly the first thing I had sorted.......apparently as mostly hand made, they worked from the grille backwards in building the car...hoping to have her sand/media blasted next week then finally to the body man, almost a month lost messing around.

From the Lancia forum...will post up a pic too

Gee time passes quickly, not got a lot done recently, just down this evening relieving the car of its headlining, quite an intricate way of applying same and finishing it off.

We thought when delicately removing the same that there was quite a bit of debris falling out and then as we moved along its length we finally realised it was another mouses nest, then found a second and finally a third! Made up of part newspaper, part sound deadening material and other nice soft material, but he/they left the headlining largely untouched....smart mouse! Pics to follow.

We then removed the last bits an bobs from around engine bay and the only repair we've found which was only lightly tack welded on behind the rear wing.

Hoping to get a date for sand/media blasting by end of this week. In the meantime laid my hands on a nice pair of wiper arms with blades to add to the front foglights I got a month back.

So is the original colour mint green or burgundy Frank? I'm guessing the mint green is a form of primer only?

Burgundy....not a fav colour at all so will research an acceptable alternative....veering towards dark blue
