I appreciate your hope @2b1ask1 - so far he is - although the mpg is a bit poor around 20+ or is that the Miss Daisy drivers;) Today is pass warm up day with the Hochtannberg Pass on the 200 to Warth then the more famous Flexenpass around Zurs. We may also attempt the Arlbergpass to St Anton depending on weather and road works. We had a little pass practice yesterday as road closures forced us off the prescribed route to our accommodation so we had to 'suffer' several twisties on a beautiful surfaced road and have to retrace those steps this morning.

Did you stop for lunch at the Hospitzalm in St Christoph?

Morning, all

Nicely done, @Oneball ...maybe even better than @CatmanV2 's bush.

Saturday and I am going to avoid any work work in the hopes of getting some farm work done. We are In the Window for cria (baby packalackas) and I need to get some fencing up ASAP...

Belmont Stakes, this evening...and to celebrate my week, may join @Bebs in a smoke later...

So a funny thing happened on the way to the forum!

This morning I needed to get something from the garage and went through my ritual of putting a sock on after brushing my sole and then putting a hand inside my Nike trainer to check for wasps etc. Brushing the sole of the sock and stretching the shoe/trainer over and on, before repeating. At the placing my hand into the trainer, I noted a swishy gel pad on the left upper next to the tongue. I assumed it must be an arch support that had shifted? Curious, I put the trainer down and took off the other to compair. No such gel pad found I slipped that one back on. I picked up the odd one again, pulled the tongue across and could see the soft tan coloured gel pad, pinched it firmly and pulled……

AN EFFIN GREAT BIG LIVE MOUSE OUT!!!!

It looked at me, I looked at it and hurled it groundwards, closely followed by my other hand holding the trainer, with a swing and a miss!!!!

Moments later it was dispatched and notched up to one of life’s experiences. Only for the cat to nonchalantly shimmy past and meow…

My dad would always check his shoes/boots before putting them on - a habit he picked up from his WW2 days in Burma - it is a good idea

That day's plan/thought to do the Arlberg pass didn't happen as we got a bit confused with road closures. But it did happen yesterday - and being cheapskates we bought a sandwich and fruit from a supermarket in St Anton and ate it in peace and quite with a wonderful view at the top of the Flexenpass

Good morning from the Oztsal Valley where the sun is starting to part the clouds - good news as we hope to attempt the Timmelsjoch pass (barely been open for a week) via Obergurgle where I first attempted skiing (and still have the scars) and check out quite a famous motorbike museum. If that plan works we'll get to near the end of the Brenner pass via the Jaufenpass - may even try the Brenner

Definitely a better finish and more polished than my bush.

Morning. Lovely evening listening to a very dear friend in the Bedford Choral Society. Music not all to my taste, but it was nice to get out.

Mrs C's mother for lunch today, so roast pork in the Big Easy I think.

Sounds like a lot of fun Annie.

Morning all, have cleared the fledgling corpse from next to my shoe this morning (another victim of the ruddy cat). A family party today for our eldest grandchild (8 yesterday) wow that has gone quickly. So Kent bound in a bit.

Have fun all…

Good morning and be grateful you don't live in Philadelphia...I am usually very thankful for that fact. Did absolutely almost nothing yesterday, after all, for sheer lack of motivation. But did enjoy watching the ponies and checking in on the Ferrari Hypercar cameras. Will see what I can manage today, before the rain sets in this afternoon...

Good evening everyone.
Been off grid for 3 days as I lost my phone Friday morning after Ms French dropped me at the Station.
As for most of us IMG_20230611_182615.jpgeverything is on my phone train ticket flight and hotel.
Bought another phone in Paris and Google locked me out of everything don't you love technology ???
Back home having driven 1601 kilometres trouble free used no oil or water and drove faultlessly better than the advert that I bought it from.

Morning all adrenaline kept me going over the last 3 days but I know what I've just done but have to say I'm also grinning like a lunatic as I'm smoking around in one of the cheapest cars I've ever bought.
Just need to find the project QPV and then my workshop will be full :)
