Morning all, didn’t finish the Boxter due to a lamda sensor stripping its thread on the extraction, thankfully the boss is ok so should re tap (Amazon Prime to the rescue). Will get it today and complete the task. So got on with lifting half a ton of mill off the trailer and setting it on its cabinet in the workshop. This involved building a gantry trolley on the RSJ and attaching a block and tackle and strop. About 20mm of spare headroom at the critical point

Today will mostly be setting it up with a pump and wash system and starting to make parts.

Have fun all…

Boxter done and returned to the garage floor only to have no reverse! Slap it back on the lift whilst Alex looks online for similar and finds four straight away but no obvious fox explained. I took the shield off the linkage and wiggled it a bit and sure enough it finds reverse, so figure the change of box needs about 2mm on the drop link ball joints, of the side to side shift. Removed the bracket from the bottom of the gearbox, added two M6 repair washers to each and reattached, all good, put the shield back on and drop the car again. All sorted and a good shakedown drive later, we are cleaning up the garage.

The 997 gear adjustment is in the gear lever, there’s a centering tool to set it up.

Morning everyone!
Restless this morning as my body spent the night feeling like it was still at sea, however yesterday was great fun pounding around on the rib getting drenched with spray from quite rough waves, watching Cowes Week races close up. I'm not a sailor at all and didn't know much about what was going on, but loved being on water.
Not sure what today will hold for work but there are a couple of things I'm hoping get sorted by lunch time tomorrow that'll mean my mind isn't on them when I'm off later this week.
HapPea Monday! xXx

Morning, all. Umm. Work. That'd be it. Had hoped to take the Vantage out this weekend but Saturday was spent dealing with a potential new kitchen and yesterday watching the youngest not-quote beat a West Indian international cricket team currently on a jolly of games around the UK. **** me, those boys can chuck a ball fast. Nice game on a village field with a beer, a burger and a steel band. Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. But I'd not have wanted to be batting against the tourists.

Morning, all. Back to work with a bump after an outstanding visit to Ibiza last week. Now checking remaining annual leave and thinking about where to go next!

Good morning everyone, glad to read that Zag is on the mend, Newton busy as ever, Phil is cooking on gas (literally) and all are busy.

Life is good.

Morning, all. 5a stateside. First in-person at 7. Last one at 4. Plenty of driving from A to B to C to D in between. After a weekend that featured about 10 hours of driving over two days to two different ends(ish) of the lovely state of North Carolina. Rarely have to be up quite this early, so generally felt conflicted about posting in this thread. Hope your day(s) are all going swimmingly, and everyone finds reverse who needs it!
