The good morning thread

I spent most of '88 working nights. Long term it's not good for you but was interesting back then.

Morning all. PT in a bit (first for a while after back issues) then a gentle day WFH topped off with physio. It's all rock and roll, I tell you

C

Back around the mid 90’s I did a week of nights and a week of days, week of nights, week of days…Sure it took minutes off my life. Not healthy….After that I said never again. Lucky now it’s just to kiss babies now and again.

Good morning everyone from Hanover, is it Friday? Already forgotten, either that's some poor memory or just not having a care.
Onwards eastwards, taking in the VW museum to see if their apology for the war is as contrite as Mercedes.

Good morning everyone!
I'm enjoying this sunshine, but it'll be even better when I get to the beach! Off to Poole for a couple of nights later.
Someone has paid us this morning, which is helpful.
HapPea Friday!

Yup.
My covid journey this week was:
Monday
  • morning - wake up (in Donegal) with a sniffle, test positive, reluctantly leave Club Tour of Ireland and run for home
  • afternoon - flu-like symptoms on ferry and during drive home
  • evening & over-night - horrible flu, near-death experience
Tuesday
  • morning - in bed with all flu-like symptoms, nasty cough
  • afternoon - mostly ok, but very tired
Wednesday
- mostly ok, but very tired
Thursday
- ho hum, back to work, then (but a bit tired and sweaty)
That is exactly me….without the Irish golf thang. The ‘kicked in the head’ thing lasted 4 days, 4 days on and still no energy. I feel your pain

Good morning number two. Now you would think I would have had longer in bed. Nope woke at 5 as always. Can see a snooze outside in the sun later.
Perhaps you should change careers?

I didn't get kicked in the head, but the no energy lasted basically for weeks and weeks

No goffing for me (gave it up years ago - too easy). It was a Maserati Club tour.

Morning all. Busy busy day today, and a short one as Joseph's new school has a Fete, which is somewhat different to the school fete's that were around when I went to school.
No coconut shy's, no smashing tv's with wooden balls (although that could be construed as something completely different these days), it's all pop up gin bars, craft ales (yuk!) BBQ's and laser tag.
Not quite sure what to make of it to be honest. But it'll mean an early finish at least!

Currently still sat in the garden with a glass of wine listening to Paloma Faith as she is playing at Chepstow race course as we may as be bloody there.

Nice one! (Not that I'm a Paloma Faith fan, but if you're listening to music you like.....)

No not my thing Mr C…. But I suppose it’s live music and free as I am in the garden. One day I pray we will have decent music at the race course. Over the years I have had to put up with Madness, Level 42, Tom Jones, Will Young, UB40, Peter Andrea to name a few….Although I did like All Saints when they were played there a few years ago.

I love Madness. Not to averse to some UB409. The rest......(Well, some Tom Jones)....

The Best Music from Chepstow is from the Rally Cars when the Wydean is on and glad to have done it a few times :)

Morning, all. Looks like it'll be a fab day.
Coffee with an old colleague to discuss side hustles first, then some light chores, then some BBQ I think :)
Have a good one, all

Good morning from a delightfully sunny Poole. I guess we should head to the beach hut and do sod all.
HapPea Saturday! xXx

That is going back some years Phil. They haven’t been Chepstow way for many years.
