One of the reasons I liked the travel aspect of my job. I went to places with proper sun.

C
Ah, I remember those days! An 'on this day' photo at the weekend told me I had been in Buenos Aires (and then Sao Paolo and Rio) this time three years ago.

The plenty says thanks for stopping with all that ****, probably.

Morning all.
Back from lovely weekend away with family in Devon. This morning lateral flow test positives rate is about 15% of participants so far.

Well, my PCR test was negative so I'm a free man. But several positive LFTs in the group, so that's a concern.

Old geezers running the show at the drive-thru test centre loved the QP.

Morning all, off to Hatfield and Bracknell today. I do at least have my little helper back for a week and a bit.

Have fun all…

Top of the morning from a rainy and miserable Cape - at least new Covid cases went down -119 (!) new cases in the Western Cape, 2,273 in all of SA - so I really do wonder what all the panic in the rest of the world is about. Sorting out contractors and various odds and ends today - enjoy!

Good morning everyone, it's pay day, an St Bin of the garden day too. Going to work in the GT as it'll be SORN tomorrow.

Oh and I'm off to an Indian temple for a devine booster from his holiness Jon Van Tam...

Morning, you lot!
I'm taking a bit of time out from working today to just generally sort my house out so I can start having guests over the next few weeks. Living alone and not having visitors has resulted in spare rooms being used as dumping grounds. Oh, and tree decorating.
Then it'll be working late to do stuff with Canadians.
HapPea Tuesday!

Honestly it is just more smoke and mirrors, the Northern hemisphere in into winter and this year is expected to have many times more cases of flu than usual. But the NHS in the UK at least is on its knees, in Europe they are still failing to vaccinate adequate numbers of CV—19 and are starting to panic. There are many variants and most have had no publicity at all, this one is different (we are told), because it is still strong but has many variations. The scary nature has caught the imagination of the press and it is a convenient get out for inept governments that should have taken action a lot sooner but didn’t want the negative impact on their standing in polls.

As Christine is mostly either living in Middlesbrough or belting up and down the A1 in the silly hours, I have treated her to an early Chrimbo prezzy of a set of all season tyres on the i10. Oh boy are they treaded! Asymmetrical a on a city car! They should see her safely through the snow and ice.

I know it’s not morning anymore but I had such a $hite one I didn’t have time to post.
Woke to a flat tyre in the Jag, out some air in it and dumped it at my local tyre place at 6.30 ready for them to sort.
Then decided to work from home, only for water to start cascading down from the loft into two bedrooms and right through to the ground floor.
Turns out rising main to the megaflow let go - absolute nightmare.
Thankfully an hour or two with the vax collected most of the water and he new wooden floor downstairs is fine.
Water washing through the loft is amazingly filthy.
Four ceilings will need to be decorated two sofas and a carpet professionally cleaned.
And tomorrow the tree surgeons will e round to remove next doors tree from my garden before the fence is replaced.
I need a drink !!
