No dusting here, morning all, off to Bracknell with Christine today. Dodged a bullet yesterday in Tewkesbury; having waited 12 weeks for the part from Czechoslovakia we got there, dug a huge hole in the rubber surface and extracted the broken part. I test fitted it in the 32mm O.D foundation pipe and was looking at the top fixings, Christine out of curiosity also tried test fitting it and dropped it down into the tube! not just a little way but it went all the way down about 450mm to the top of it, and about 100mm under water! Worse was that having only seen it a couple of times, I had no idea of the shape of it! Then ensued an hour of raiding the van for anything that might hook it back up! Having looked at the manufacturers installation instructions I figured it had a small stub near the top sticking out about 4mm, I fashioned a hook device and eventually it appeared on the end of it to much relief! Day saved, we finished the repair.

Have fun all...
You must be the guy who wins on the grab machines in the amusement arcades, Newon.

Morning, all.

Thanks to a wabsolute anker of a time waster my house sale fell through yesterday so spent all morning sprucing it up ready for a series of new viewings that commenced at 1pm today.

Not all bad yesterday though as the GT sailed through the MOT!

I used to refurbish alloy wheels and always tried to talk people out of black. I think they make the wheel look smaller and the tyre bigger. Unless the tyres are always clean they look awful.
They were on the matt side of satin so pretty good at not showing the dirt, but they still disappeared. Oddly the colour I went for was never a standard option but was used on the Spitfire Edition Vantage, so I haven't gone entirely off the standard colour reservation.

Morning everyone!

Adam, you know how to display those sturdy bits of yours with supreme elegance. Wearing good rubber they'll be transferring thrust most enjoyably.

Looking forward to today. Kickboxing 1:1 session for starters, a bit of work, and then out to a dance tonight, though it's unconfirmed whether the latter will be in Oxford or London after someone kindly rear-ended my dance partner's car.
I'm sure some nice food and nice beverages will also be involved.

HapPea Friday! xXx
