A very good morning to all….

Had a lovely meal at the Greek On The Dock in Gloucester last night for our anniversary. One of my lorry drivers knows the manager and he told him his boss was coming and to look after us which we didn’t know he had done so it was a surprise when we sat down and two glasses of Champers were bought to the table before we were given the menus. Had a starter and main but couldeat anything else….Or so we thought…Two plates and share desert came over free…..

A lovely place and very popular with lots a ambience.

Morning all, rough night in a strange bed last night, stayed a Sally’s as Alex was having a party at home. Dogs were in an awful state, full of teasles from the shoot, not helped by them ‘wallowing in some feculant water!

Anyway, hopefully getting back to some normality except for brother-in-law whiling is back in hospital yet again. Really not looking good, they are doing a broncoscopy later to see if they can find out what is causing the continuing pneumonia and resisting treatment. At leat he has had a few more years since the leukaemia/lymphoma but as he is back on full dialysis it is really getting to him.

Have fun all…

Top of the morning from a very windy Cape - some clearing up to do in the garden due to the strong winds but first a flat white at my fav coffee joint. Enjoy the week.

Morning. One of the cats tells me it's cold outside. I'll find out myself, shortly.

WFH with a variety of calls. Have a great one, all

Top o' the mornin' gentlemen.
The locals have been getting into the Christmas spirits for weeks now.
What evidence have I of this egregious libel, you say? I give you this!

But, apparently the effort is for charity. So that's alright then.
My question is. How much is too much? Has this person crossed the line and left it far in his multicoloured wake?
Or, do you feel that he's still a good way to go. Before he even sees the line on the horizon?
Too much too soon.

Morning, all.

morning all. Planned power outage in our hamlet 10until 14:00 today. Time for car fettling or find cafe with wi-fi?
My boss thinks I am doing a grand jobs in latest review. Should I solder on or *slack off?

*The V8 needs an hour or two to refit inlet manifold before it can go back in the Rangie

Engine swap. Bought a bargain with misfire, but everything else working well. Once cylinder had zero compression so went straight to donor engine.
The old unit is out and new one 'almost ready', once dressed with inlet manifold and harness. The LPG kit on original made it worth saving.
Installation is reverse of removal. Pah!
Followed the dealer workshop manual up to a point. Unable to pop the driveshaft out of the front differential 'as pictured' due to altered construction. The diff was unbolted from left side of sump instead.
All work done inside damp pre-fab concrete garage. Car is nose into the up-and-over door, so both engines and crane are trapped inside until job complete.

Fair play and respect to you in such a small garage.
Good Luck.

The temp guage is a Chinese cheap and nasty add on which is coming off as the dash going in has a temp guage.
Just using soapy water to clean things up as 60's plastics really are quality compared to a lot of today's stuff.
I’m doing quite a lot to a 90’s BM at present and everything plastic breaks as soon as I look at it. Then costs an absolute fortune for a simple part, well not an absolute fortune, but 10 times the price I think it should, worse than the Maserati. But at least most parts are still available, even for a 30 year old 850.
