I phoned earlier, they have scheduled him for surgery at 10.00 but he has been on IV anti-biotics overnight to get ahead of the infection, it is serious stuff, incredible how fast it blew up!
Fingers crossed

The train from Leeds to Sheffield takes an hour. How the heck is that possible, that it's that slow.

They absolutely need to speed up train links between these cities, drop the prices and make them more frequent.

When the do the HS2 to Birmingham, they will undoubtedly stop the rest of the project, which, in my view, makes the whole thing pointless.
Totally agree. When I was working on Denmark I used to fly back to Manchester and get the train to York. 2.5 hours. It used to take 1.3 hours between Manchester and Leeds. I can drive from our house in Thirsk to Manchester airport in 1.75 hours taking it easy. It’s daft.

Morning all, Family are all out for the day so... today i will mainly be; searching for my wedding ring :worried1:, setting up the new printer that just arrived, cooking some tiger prawns for lunch, watching the series on Netflix about 70's and 80's New York Mafia, searching Autotrader while playing the Stone Roses too loud, cooking a nice piece of sirloin for my dinner, liberating some Merlot, looking at the robotic hoover/mop Wattie revealed and probably having the "so i can;t find my wedding ring" discussion with the wife... mostly a nice relaxing day ... enjoy your day folks !

Good morning everyone, MotoGP and associated races this morning intertwined with mowing the Lawns. This afternoon I'll do a little more on the ZXR750. Flush the radiator and try to route the fuel pipes without them kinking. Oh and free the clutch.

Dogupdate: He has surgery earlier and the vet reports a finger sized void after draining and that it had burst as well, on flushing the ugly stuff she found a grass seed which may be the cause! Hasn’t ruled out tumour so is sending samples for histology. Massive tissue damage from the burst so necrosis and infection risk extreme. Not enough good tissue to close so a drain and stuffing till it calms down but he is in for the fight. Insurance it turns out is about as good as the proverbial chocolate teapot!

Wet, windy and dull... another stunning summer morning here.

We all feel like that some mornings Peter, but get a couple of decent shots of coffee inside you and I reckon you'll perk up right proper nice.

Morning, all. Today I shall mostly be cracking on with some work, from the comfort of my home office. It used to double as a home gym but I managed to sell my old Concept 2 rowing machine on eBay, for about 50% more than I could have got for it pre-Covid. Just as I start to appreciate the space, Mrs Crud has her eyes on a cross-trainer.

Have a good Monday and a fine week, all.
