The good morning thread

Well done, Loz, that was bloody fast. It does feel like all this misery-mongering talk of the world going to the dogs might be a bit wide of the mark, so far at least. The housing market seems to have picked up ok, frivolous cars are still selling for pretty good money. And the sun's come out. I've even got food in the fridge and loo paper in the dunnies. The only bummer is that we're not on a boat on the way to France.

Today will be quite similar to yesterday. Whilst I was happy to free up 2 hours of time in my schedule yesterday, some of it just decamped to today, which is now hosting eight Zoom calls lasting a total of 6 hours.

Be wonderful, you beautiful people, and have a happy Tuesday,

Morning all. Not sure what I'm doing today. Which I guess is no real difference from the previous couple of months.

Morning all, a bit late as it seems like one of the locals needed some string this morning so took down the connection between the two baked bean cans that purport to be a data super highway in Co. Wexford

Hello everyone!

Nice to read some various good news from you lot.
Newton, I'm disappointed with your patio set not being painted I'm the same colour as your GS though.

I had a virtual pint with my former CEO last night. Very good, enjoyable, enlightening and vindicating.
I've now had two months since finishing so a bit of CV tweaking today and then I'll arrange some meetings to get myself back into work.

Other than that, it's wine tasting Wednesday this evening and I may even wash a car or few.

HapPea Wednesday!

Have fun all...

Goodness, Stevie, I hope you're not. I know the weather is a bit cooler but I wouldn't expect hypothermia to have set in just yet.

In any case, I'm glad you're enjoying your short period of retirement. Not long may it last.

This time last year = mother of all hangovers but still smiling.

Weather very similar isn’t it.

Which hangover was that one, Matt; was it Honfleur? That was a superb evening out, from what I remember. The gins back at the hotel were heroic, and the hotel coffee in the morning was enough to wake the dead. Which was lucky.

Morning, all. Today I shall not be in France.

Phil, do you live near Laval? We visited it as part of a road trip last year - we were at the ‘Escape to the Chateau’ place for a wedding. Nice part of the country!

Morning all, like most I will be working from home today.

A tad excited as the new Jaguar XJ is being delivered later this morning.

Stay safe
Well the deliver did not go as planned as the dealer who has driven from Warrington arrived to say he had discovered a fault with the aircon.

He has turned round and taken it back to be fixed and it will be transported back in due course.

I have insisted they refund my money till I get the car back, which is causing all sorts of issues for them but for me it’s a point of principle.

I was a little bit grumpy as you can imagine.
