Morning all.
A welcome bit of rain during the night to hopefully make the grass go green again.
Having a lazy one as last week's hard graft now catching up.
Take care all nearly the weekend.

That's the result of a 40 year old head on a 60 year old body Phil , I lived with it for the last few years , it don't get easier lol,

Morning all today I shall mostly be making cardboard boxes with gaffa tape , have fun and stay safe out there

Morning all, a full days graft yesterday lead to a good nights sleep at last, but still tired. Another load of repairs to get through today in Hackney.

Have fun all...

Morning, all. Damp start again (outside, not a personal nocturnal incident). I found a weather forecast that says the weekend will be great, which is nice. I hope it's right, and not just more propaganda planted by troll farms in the pay of enemy forces seeking to weaken our spirits and drive us into the arms of radical ideologies.

Other than that creeping paranoia, a normal-ish kind of day awaits. Calls, some likely to be more interesting than others, the start of next year's budgeting process (which will require heroic consumption of mescalin) and a man coming to discuss fences and gates.

How did your new assistant get on in Newton's World mate ?

One of the hardest things to find , a good reliable 16-20 year old helper/employee/ apprentice do they exist anymore ..........................probably a myth or like gold dust i imagine ....................from 2005 i never managed to find a good one that could last the pace and enjoyed a bit of graft, fridays mostly they were wasted either hungover or still high on something and to get them to work weekends ..................fecking no chance

If you find one Newton treat him well and nurture him ,...................they will become rarer than hens teeth

Indeed they are, the lad I had with me yesterday is late 20's and a qualified electrician who is presently not working due to employer distresses! He is a family friend and went to school with one of mine. He also has cerebral palsy and is weak on his right side, this didn't slow him down yesterday and he kept pace with me fine, he got the layout of stuff in the van straight away and the only thing he couldn't do was changing the disks on the angle grinder without the tool (I had to dig hard to find that!) and even then it was a lengthy task. He happily worked up the ladder and operated the hydraulics with precision. I hope to be able to use him a lot more in coming weeks.

Thanks for asking.

Morning all. Have done a bit of work this morning already!
It would appear things are starting to move again, but we shall see.

Bit of a late start for me though as I stayed up to the wee small hours watching the last 4 episodes of The Last Dance on Netflix.
If you've not seen it. Watch it. It's brilliant!

Well the deliver did not go as planned as the dealer who has driven from Warrington arrived to say he had discovered a fault with the aircon.

He has turned round and taken it back to be fixed and it will be transported back in due course.

I have insisted they refund my money till I get the car back, which is causing all sorts of issues for them but for me it’s a point of principle.

I was a little bit grumpy as you can imagine.
Heard from dealer today, fault fixed - lots of apologies. Car comes back to me first thing in the morning with wine In the boot, flowers and chocolates for Mrs Scaf plus two year service plan and 3 years tyre and wheel insurance by way of an apology.
I am delighted with the compensation !

Morning all and another wet one here which is making the grass grow hourly by the looks of it.
Got the first estimate for my concrete floor and a door and gate company coming out today.
Have a Great Friday.

Morning all. Grass is the same here, Phil. Will need to do something about it today / tomorrow.

WFH today oddly, but off to Tesco in a minute

Have a great day, all

What... is there some variety in the lives of the SM Massive? Both Andys away to offices, one Andy welcoming colleagues back from furlough. This is good. Sam's boot full of goodies is also pretty good.

Morning, all. Today, is um, yup. Like yesterday but with fewer calls and the afternoon blocked out. Awaiting a quote for a new set of front gates (defibrillator at the ready), after which I can turn my attention to some kind of car lodge (a hybrid cart lodge and car-port). Thanks to a pandemic's worth of frenzied DIY and other related Make Our House Great Again activities, the important things have finally edged closer to the top of the priority list.
