No wonder my veterinarian friend only works 3 days a week, has three houses rented out and is retiring soon... He's 50 in November
Yes, my career with hindsight would definitely have been pets or teeth based from what I’ve seen.

Morning. Tilers in today for 4 days. Really looking forward to getting it down, it’s going to make a massive difference to our bomb site of a kitchen renovation.

Only downside is I have to spend the day ripping up the last third of the tiles with what appears a mild hangover....hammer and bolster

You're getting up too early, Chris.

Morning, all. Had a superb Levantine dinner last night. Lots of fresh, tasty veg, the most amazing slow roast shoulder of lamb, fresh-made baklava... just superb. The temptation to go back for lunch is strong.

Morning all. Feeling a bit more refreshed than I did yesterday, so lots to catch up on today.

Bike ride this afternoon loads of hills and 50+ miles for Ride London training.

Hello rabble!

Crud, I love baklawa... where was this?

I'm pleased to say that I've lost enough pain that I was able to cycle to work again this morning. I've also been having some periods of no trippy drugs in my system. Last night my godson learnt a few new tricks and his face was amazing as he clocked them; then he started walking almost, but not quite, unaided. He started only needing to hold on hand and that one hand was hardly applying any force to mine so he basically has it nailed. I'm hoping we'll see his first steps for his first birthday on Saturday.

Other than that, it's sunny again and I need more tea.
HapPea Wednesday.

Ceru, South Ken. There's another on the west side of Soho as well.

Top news that you're feeling less spaced out. Try not to miss it. Even better news that you're comfortable enough to be cycling into work again.

My Dad has always said that email ruined work. Pre-email i doubt if you went on holiday for a couple of weeks you would come back to 500+ items of post. nor would you get 10 emails about the exact same topic, features segments of someone's stream of consciousness. Bloody email.
Open the Post! Possibly have a meeting about the post.

Do the work related to post/phonecalls. Then go to the pub.

The dastardly fax was the first to ruin this routine. It was an important task to remove the paper tray on a Friday lunchtime in order not to be disturbed at the pub.

Better than having a link to the office in your pocket.

It's the truth. A mobile phone is like baby reins back to the shop. Or one of those extending dog leads that gives the dog a sense of freedom, of self-determination, but which can suddenly crack him back to his master's heal just when he's found an excellent rabbit smell to explore.
