All the better as pissing down at the airport...Boarding now and leaving this rain behind...Not to rub it into anything...

Car in to get the alloy refurbished today. Should be ready by the weekend.

Enjoy your holiday Andy, not at all jealous. Ok, maybe a lot ;)

Have a good one all

How much do alloy refirbs cost? Might put in "on the list" when the car goes into be serviced in the summer.

I think the best thing is to ask around locally and see what price you can get. Mine is diamond cut and is going to cost £85 + VAT. bit of a rush job as I want the car back by Friday.

Morning all. Bit of a short week for me this week. I'm off to Rome on Friday morning as a birthday treat for Alex.

In the meantime I have a mountain of work to get through!

Morning all.

Final preps, then loading up the car for our France trip tomorrow.

Thanks all for the recommendations for places to stay.

We will see where we end up.

Good morning all....well what a day yesterday......had to get a taxi from airport in Venice to Cavallino as Avis wouldn't give us the hire car we pre-ordered as we paid for it on Liz's credit car and I was the driver....apparently the credit car had to have my name on it yet on web site it just said bring the credit card you booked the car with.......couldn't change the booking either as Liz never bought her driving licence with her. Pain in the ****....so 100 Eurostar light for a one way trip but must say it was rather nice being driven there and now back to the airport front door....

Other than that bloody stunning weather ... 31 degrees all day yesterday....Enjoy you day all....

Morning,

That's a pain Andy though with the comment about the weather the sympathy is muted. Managed to meet the deadline at work yesterday, though there are changes to make caused by the client. Chauffeured to the office and back today as waiting for the wheel to cure. Really looking forward to taking next week off.

Have a good day everyone

Good Morning everyone, the leased Seat Leon I ordered back in Feb is being built this week...I'll get it Mid June hopefully. Anyone want a Mito?

Good morning everyone!

A non exciting day in the office, but my excitement lies elsewhere...
1) I've had a business trip to Finland confirmed and booked - now I get to tick off my final Skandinavian country, and I'm really looking forward to it.
2) A pannier rack and panniers arrived yesterday for my commuter bike - literally a weight off my back - and today's cycle ride was already more comfortable for it.
3) My new DA polisher arrived yesterday, so I tried it out yesterday evening by doing the bonnet of the ST.

It's another black car where I can practice using the DA without risking c0cking up the Maser paintwork. That said, it did a very nice job very easily just by going about it sensibly. Hopefully I'll finish the ST over the evenings this week and can then move to Myfanwy before the Blenheim AGM the following weekend. Honestly, the only thing slightly wanting about the ST is the paintwork having swirls, but that's only because the gent from whom I bought it "only" washed it by hand (every week for 10 years) but didn't polish and wax it. If I get the paintwork up to (lack of) scratch before the autumn when I plan to flog it then I shouldn't take much convincing someone to pay good money.

HapPea Wednesday everyone!

We ordered a Leon ST in Feb and we couldn't get a build date and the earliest delivery date we were given was July, hence why we cancelled it and got an alternative

What did you change it to? I ordered it to replace the Ibiza but now that I've fixed it with OE parts, it works a treat now and will soldier on for another few 10's of thousand miles. So we're selling the MIto as there's still some cash in it. When we buy the new house and the Mrs want her new car, we'll chop it in or the government will give us scrappage as it's a dirty diesel.
