Morning all.
Think I'm coming down with Alex's cold, which is just great. By the time the weekend comes I'll be like death warmed up!
Time to start taking the paracetamols and get to the gym and sweat it out.

Morning all, not pleased to report the Volvo disapointed yesterday by blowing out a steering rack seal (I think) on the way home last night so it is over the road this morning to be looked at (I have no intention of maintaining this one myself). The joys of private sales I suppose. They were only recently replaced so I'm kind of hoping it is just a bolt shaken out or something. To access it however the back of the sub-frame has to be dropped down!

Have fun all...

Not good Newton but always a risk buying privately as I always feel that people are hiding something or selling for a reason.

I wish, no last day of no booze :)

Although I might continue but allow my self the odd night off

Ah, I fell off that waggon on Saturday. Mind you, I have not had a drink since and am considering 1 day a week or month as a rule from now on. Holidays exempt.

I don't miss it really and after the mess and agro that ensued on Saturday I am all the better for it.

Matt - I can only apologise for the tiggerish pogoing to Jimmy Jimmy by the Undertones! At least I maintained the contents of my stomach! Result!

I am with you - too much truth serum and it does send people into a different orbit.

I think Spartacus needs to abstain - I know he was 40, but at breakfast, next morning, he looked old enough to have easily collected a bus pass. Bless!

Yes, I had to watch him wheez his way round circuits last night. Mind, I was sluggish too, the booze is a killer for fitness.

Morning, all. Back at Heathrow, bound for Stockholm. After the pleasing warmth and sun of recent trips I'm not much looking forward to the cold and darkness.

Not drinking during the week is a lot harder than it sounds. It's easy if I'm at home, but put me in a hotel bar and a small beer or glass of wine with dinner is just too easy to accept. Stupid really, because I sleep so well and wake up so much more refreshed if I stick to the water. All other things being equal, wine on Friday and Saturday plus any leftovers on Sunday is the usual rule of thumb. And I don't drink on short-haul flights any more, either.

Newton, bollox re the Volvo. Good luck for a quick and cheap fix.

Yep amazing how just one beer and it affects sleep especially when one has exercised heavily the same day. The British Psyche is that we need Alcohol to have a good time which is total BS really.

Good to hear you made it through :) Me's OK. Crappy jet lag at the moment but that's a very first world problem. Back to the office tomorrow :)

Morning all,

Looks very wet out there. Glad of the WFH today. More crazy ideas to head off at the pass today.

Planning the events to attend for the first half of the year. It's going to be busy lol
