The good morning thread

It's certainly spring :)

Had an excellent day - woke to bright sunshine and the lambs making suitable rural sounds in the field behind the house.
Went to Audi Huntingdon to drive a 2010 S3 that Susie had her eye on. Already sold. ****.
So, we test-drove and bought a 'new' 300 bhp Audi S3 quattro with S-tronic and just 30 miles on the clock, and pretty much every option fitted. Clearly had been pre-registered to make dealership numbers etc. Estoril Blue, btw, and to be delivered at 10am Monday morning.
Had lunch in The Abbott's Elm, a truly superb country pub just a couple of miles from the dealership, just off the A14, mostly to allow Susie to calm down with the aid of a glass of wine. It didn't work, and she's still high as a kite about it.
Drove her 'soon to be px'd Cayenne S' back to the house, and emptied it of all the crud/phone stuff etc.
Watched England beat Ireland.
Now waiting for the leg of lamb to cook - the delicious smell of roasting with garlic and rosemary is escaping the kitchen.
...and she's still giddy. Luckily I shall be at work when they deliver it to her, so safely 120 miles away from the happy noises.
On the negative side, it's apparently slightly faster 0-60 than my QP. We will have to fix that...

On the whole though, I've had worse days :)

Not back breaking at all. You use your finger tips to glide the clay over the lubricated bodywork, it's quite a gentle process. Go to Halfrauds and buy a Meguiars clay starter pack. It gives you the clay and quick detailer you can use for lubricant. Clay strips any wax off, so you must wax the car afterwards to keep the paintwork protected. I always put a coat or two of polish on after the clay and before the wax.

I would add a paint sealer/oil like swisvax to keep the paint subtle and allow the wax to take hold properly.

MAF 'n' Saf - thank you. Sounds like good advice. Safrane, is there a particular Swissvax product you recommend? They often seem to have five kinds of everything.

Morning, not quite as nice as yesterday a bit of rain and some grey clouds. Still a trip over to NP this afternoon should be fun.

Morning all. Not such an early start today as we were gigging last night. End result - two blown amps. Plugged in my faithful Trace Elliot and nothing, nada, not even a valve lighting up. Lent a spare amp to the bass player and that died part way through the night too, so guess what I'm going to be doing today.

Sunny over here in the far east (sounds more exotic than Lowestoft), so maybe some car detailing later on, but first I need coffee. Time to fire up the coffee machine.

Morning Trev, any clips of you and the band on YouTube? What sort of music do you play?

Morning the rest of you. Me and some of the forum lads are over in Miltin Keynes, the Holiday inn, London Road, Newport Pagnell for the forums AGM.

A rake of beer was had, downing Stella's from 4pm. Great night out, ending at about 2am. My final drink was a Gin and Tonic bought by Frank who commented that this is classed as a cocktail where he comes from :)

Its weird to wake up after that lot and my hand ache more than my head....came off my bike yesterday, the guys here are sick of me moaning about it.

For anyone who wants to pop over for a couple of hours, the meeting side of things will be over at 2 so would be nice to see a few of you from then on.

No, there was a gay wedding going on so they had all of them, I did get ice, lemon, straws and a twizzler stick.

Two women, I wonder how they descided which one of them wore the white dress?

We play mainly rock and roll/blues based stuff with some Stones etc thrown in. In all honesty, we're rubbish, but we have fun making fools of ourselves. What it does do is get us to a fair few bike meets/annual rallies.

Here's our first music vid A rehash of a classic with a Norfolk flavour. All filmed on a Sat afternoon. I'm the one on the left.

I think they had sorted the white dress out long before the marriage Matt, 'he' had a hairier chin than me I think...

Morning all, head is not too fuggy this morning but I'm reminded how much chillie was in the pasta!

Down to breakfast in a bit :)

Morning all
Today I am mostly repairing a fence in Spalding, then blasting home for the working week.

Product launch is looking OKish although we won't have time to validate the performance parameters, we live in hope.

Have a great day
