I like a beer or two. Or not.
I'm OK either way.

But surely you see that the main issue is that they've had 12 years to make decisions like this, so to say it's a bit late in the day is an understatement.

And, their sheer arrogance.
It's our country, so there !
We'll change the rules with two days to go !
Riding roughshod over all/any agreements in place. eg: main sponsor Budweiser.

It seems a very bad move to me, by a country who desperately wants to be a player in international sport.

Personally, I find it amusing that there are way more newspaper headlines and bother about ‘beergate’ than the 6,500 migrant workers who have died in Qatar since the World Cup was awarded (stats as known at Feb 2021).

Anyhow…. back to the terrible jokes!
