To add some balance to the Sytner debate i bought QP5 from them and they were good to deal with including the dreaded variator issue which they had fixed at Shiltech under warranty. Courtesy car provided while it was away for 2 weeks.

i would happily buy from them again.

They have a nice looking GT in, but it's not the right spec for me.

yes but it was used well up to 3 years back... remember 55k miles is considered high in Maser circles.

Are you supposed to stop using maseratis once they get to 50k miles?
If you do 10k miles a year they are unsaleable after 5?
Do just 3k a year and you are good for 17!

Bought mine on 48.5k miles a couple of years back, it’s not blown up yet!

Yes...they implode at c55k and you are just left with a pile of bits and some memories...apparently.

Tempted... but suspect I would be shafted on PX price with the GS, and selling it privately would be a long drawn process no doubt.
As suspected... thier on-line px value, even for a showroom condition (which I would say it is), <£14k... so is it worth 3.5 times my current... I think not esp as they are still depreciating.

We have had Safrane’s car in and it is probably one of two best GranSport we have seen. I would say it’s as good as my last black GS and I have a screw loose for detail.

For the reasons stated by Matt and Dicky, and as someone who has bought a Strad, I would not bother looking for a 'relatively' small saving on cars like this. We are lucky to have a network of trusted independent specialists such as Richard Grace, AV, Emblem, Matt etc that means we don't need to take unnecessary risks. A neglected car even when fixed is still a neglected car. I have bought a lot of cars and rarely is value at the cheapest version.
Buy cheaply, own expensively.

When I bought the GTA a specialist said that whatever happens, it’ll cost you ten grand (a few years ago now). Either you spend ten grand on a minter or your remedial works + cost of the car will cost ten grand. He was right.

. Interestingly, I have found Mercedes to be even worse (as has a friend who is a lifelong Mercedes owner and wanted an AMG GT but couldn't even get a dealership to call him back).

Thread drift, and obviously I don’t have the details of your friend’s situ, but this reminds me about something I hear a lot. The righteous indignation and feeling of being insulted that a dealer didn’t phone someone back. There seems to be a game played (by some) where the sales staff are supposed to jump to the beat like the person buying is an exalted member of royalty. I see it as the male equivalent of being a bridezilla. I hear a lot of it in passing conversation/on PH, just generally unreasonable, arrogant behaviour.
Yes it’s likely to be an expensive purchase, but it’s still a purchase. Imagine if every purchase played out like some people go on at dealers. ‘My Waitrose shopping trolley was parked at the wrong angle, and the security guard didn’t give me a neck massage on the way in’
If you want something, pick up the phone. Or visit.

If there is one thing to be admired of Kiwis (in fact there is much) - it is their unwillingness to charge more for an MC Stradale than any other nation on earth.

2017 Maserati Granturismo MC Stradale - O'Reilly's Garage - under 45K GBP - which looks like something of a bargain to me, esp for a 2017 2+2 model (those outrageously high miles notwithstanding).

or for those eager to avoid the example due to expire at the side of the road - Maserati GranTurismo MC STRADALE 4.7 V8 2017 - Brent Boddy Prestige, the home of new and used Kia, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, RAM, Alfa Romeo, Fiat vehicles in Palmerston North.

Except you cant visit a dealer for anything other than a purchase at the moment so pretty much all their business is done via telephone, email or click and collect from their websites.

I made an enquiry over a car back in December. I was told that Robert or whatever his name was was on the phone but he would call me straight back. Almost 2 months later im still awaiting his call and the car is still for sale. I cant think why its not sold if the sales guy actually followed up on leads. Perhaps his bonus wasnt going to be large enough on said car.

Like wise im not going to go to tesco and have to chase a cashier down so i can do my shopping.

Any sales person is employed to follow up on leads that land on their desk. If they dont they are not really cut out for sales or doing the job 100%.

We always have a choice as a consumer. If sales or CS isnt up to standard you make your purchases elsewhere.

They had a 1 in 3 chance of making a sale. They didnt call back or email me so the choice was made between the other 2 options.
