Being home on St Bins day means I can make the weekly offering this week but I need to ensure that my lunchtime walk doesn't clash with the Monks visit as their chariot of stench follows the same route and moves about the same speed.

The Cathedral of All Knowledge - namely local council office, hath decreed that 'No offerings are to be presented before 7am' Your vile and disgusting container of filth shall not desecrate the leafy avenues of the perfectly preserved suburbia. before this hour'

This rule is to be enforced by employing another army of officers armed with new scribes and wads of parish papers otherwise known as FIXED PENALTY NOTICE - these are to be distributed throughout the land to discourage this wanton act of debauchery.

The Chariot of Stench shall commence collections from 0600 thus avoiding the first hour of offerings because they are hidden behind a fence.

Yes - these buffoons and there really is no other word for them - issue fines if your bin is out too early, but the dustcart actually starts its round and hour before we are allowed to but the F&&king bins out!

Yes! The neighbors!

I *am* the neighbours! ;)

Actually this is a lie. I am fortunate that due to the design of our house and drive our bins live on the boundary. I have to take precisely zero action to ensure my bins are collected. I sometimes observe my (less fortunate) neighbours to see which bins they are presenting so I can make sure I add the secondary collection containers to my bins :)

Smug: You'd better believe it!

It has been a very confusing week for the bins.

Where I live, the church rings the bin bells every Thursday (for collection Friday) and then they have a practice session every Sunday morning.

This weeks it’s gone haywire. I put my bins out on Monday and Tuesday and they were not collected.

...well, the monks also failed to sortie here. Good thing that, like Martin, I can take my trash to work.
