Ducat have almost always made beautiful machines from their earliest they just got it right in that Italian way. The Desmodromic valve drive is brilliant. MV Augusta likewise.

I’d love any one of them but have never actually managed it.

Must admit bikes have never interested me. Probably have something to do with being married to a nurse and the stories of the motorbike ward at Guildford hospital.

As I have got older the less I enjoyed riding on the road and concentrated more with the off road bikes and the Enduro scene good rides and beautiful terrain and probably the best exercise you will ever get.
Looking at getting another now in France.

My expereince of French off road access and variety is second to none...Access here in the UK is a constant bone of contention, and is only getting worse, sadly.

This is my other Italian...!59221

I don't ride, but I love the look of Harley hardtails.

Oh dear.......Never got Harley's. We have hoggin the bridge event in Chepstow every year and they look aweful and sound even worse. The noise is just ear bleeding but not in a nice way. Then I always think everyone to there own expecting these leather clad rebels to get off the bikes only to see middle age bankers etc having a mid life crisis. :)

I've cut down a bit, but still have:-

650ss Norton
750 Triumph Trident T150
750 Honda RC30
400 Honda RVF NC35
900 Triumph Trophy
955 Triumph Daytona
748r Ducati

The last couple of months have been spent recommissioning the Ducati that had been off the road for twelve years.

Had a 748SPS in yellow with carbon lower panels. Just been offered it back again. Twice the price I sold it for!

I can say with a fair degree of certainty that I would not be here today if I had been introduced to motor bikes in my yoof.
I do however appreciate that some of these would be thrilling and if I did one day decide to donate my organs to others it would be on a Ducati, in red, to mask the blood stains.

Lovely job but I would look to make a belly pan silencer rather than the leg burner.

I looked at that but bottom line was I wanted an Imola type look to the bike and twin high level reverse cone megas (minus baffles) just looked better imo. In practice my leg is clear of the hot bits. Exhaust on other side exits behind my leg due to tortuous route it follows to get correct length as no balance pipe. Gives it a completely different sound as a result. I now appreciate the work any custom builder puts in as every small change results in changing something else.
