3" downpipes going into a Y pipe before splitting again into the OE pipes, I think ill either delete the rear mufflers and go 2.75" or 2.5"\

Some are old faults however just wanted to verify

Coils E,F,G,H are driver's side right? (LHD car)

Where would the vehicle speed sensor be? I suspect that's the cause of my occasionally working speedo like in the video below. My speed is 140km/h but the speedo occasionally gets lazy and stops at 100-110km/h

Had a hairline crack on one of the fuel pump assemblies, bought a used one

I see they are a Fiat/ Lancia part, does anybody know which car?

awesome work, the speedo's often have internall issues on the circuit board, the signal in 3200GT is from the ABS module i recall, the early one might still use the Ferrari sensor on the right side of the diff

The brige can controller takes the vehicle speed of the CAN line and converts that to pulses for the speedo. The output of the can bridge controller should pulse at 8 pulses per driven meter. If you can get hold of an oscilloscope or maybe even a more elaborate multimeter, you could try to monitor this pulse signal. If the pulse is good, the issue is in the speedo or the wiring leading upto it. Otherwise it's in the bridge can controller or the ABS controller, although I'm not sure the ABS provides the signal.

Deeply impressed by all of the work you did!
And still flabbergasted that turbos can come out without taking the engines out or lowering the sub frame.

Ill double check on that but 99% sure there are no sensors anywhere near the diff. Eurospares shows the front hubs as the speed sensor, the comments on FB also say all 4 hubs act as the speed sensors
Amazing work, brilliant.

This might be useful:

The reply is Lancia Kappa, google images show it as the same visually

When trying to enter the ABS module through the laptop software, it wont connect in addition to the occasional flickering of the ABS lighting up for a second before disappearing leads me to believe its the module itself. I have removed the module from the donor car and install it in mines to see if anything changes

Thank You!
I was adamant they wont manage to do it but somehow they did it

The speed sensor signal is present in the audio unit connector. I tapped into it for my after market cruise control. I will check i think i have a note of which wire some where, but its in the definition details for that audio connection. And yes you can see it with an oscilloscope or just a digital meter with a frequency measurement option.

I'm currently running without the wood or radio present, don't know if that makes a difference. Even when I bought the car, it had these old cheap flashy disco radios.
I upgraded to the original ones pending I redo the faded buttons

Speaking of wood and cruise control....it should be a criminal offence to sell a new car of this caliber with the OE faded wood color look or without cruise control

The signal will still be there in the connector even if there is no radio fitted.

Looks like the ABS is the most obvious failure then. The signal can also be found on a 3200 at:
- Climate control unit
- Power window control unit
- Bilstein shock absorber control unit. IMO this one is the most accessible. Its behind the panel in the boot.
Note signal on these parts is at half the frequency of the speedo signal i.e. 4 pulses per meter and also originates out of the bridge can controller.

Absolutely fabulous work. Great effort and cost I imagine but keeping this on the road at such a high standard is a real achievement. Well done! :)

Updates!

ASR solved
Boost leak solved
Fuel tank leak solved
Replaced steering rods
Fixed incorrect speedo

ASR: Replaced the ABS/ASR module, no change, checked voltage to the module, its there....long story short, replaced the CAN module right under the steering wheel and bam, ASR functional

The boost leak: the passenger side turbo pipe was touching the headers causing a huge boost leak

NiWVsD.jpg

Fuel leak: the vent pipe adjacent to the fill pipe cracked and would slush the fuel when filling up or driving on a full tank. Made a new one with 2 90degree elbows

Steering rods: Febi 980001707 for the boot and TRW 980001705, both from assault-racing on ebay

Speedo: I had to Frankenstein the speedo, the case from the donor car, the RPM and LCD screen from mines and the speedo/mileage counter from the donor. I had to roll back the KMs from 141kms to my 35ish KM to match my original mileage

I rewarded myself with a photoshoot too!

Beautiful! And a great achievement too! Compliments!
Thank You!

I also installed a period correct Ford Becker unit (although it doesn't show the ford logo)

The speakers are rattling on bass, Id like to either replace them or upgrade them if anybody has any recommendations on sizes or specs
Nothing too wild with 16 subwoofers and 8 amps

Also, im planning on either going with AC wheels or 19" BBS CH from a BMW with an adapter

Similar to this but 19s

Fun fact, they were never factory supplied with them, so they were added later by owners.
Correct me if im wrong, on the 3200, they were never supplied by the factory however the 4200 had them from the factory

That's the info iv received
