Thought I would share this with you all!!

I'm just back from a fantastic trip across Europe with my 4200 Coupe! I boarded the Eurotunnel to France and headed to Basel in Switzerland for the night, then over to Italy for a week where I visited Lake Garda, Verona, and Lake Como, then over to France and stopped for a night in Colmar, lunch in Nancy, and my final night on the Continent in Reims and then finally back to Calais to catch the Eurotunnel back to UK. Total miles covered circa 3,500 km over ten days.

Car did not miss a beat! I was also amazed at the fact that I only saw one Maserati in the week I was in Italy! Here's a picture of my car looking over Lake Como!!

Good effort and glad you enjoyed it. I had a bit of a jaunt last year that went over the Stelvio via the 'ring and up through France. 2500miles in 6 days. Likewise, mine didn't miss a beat either. It's what these cars do best!

Looks like a great trip Omar. As mentioned above, grand tours are what these car's are made for. Mine will be doing it's second Euro trip in less than 6 months this week when we travel to the Le Mans Classic. The only thing I'm not looking forward to is the fuel bill! :D

Omar - photo looks great, I am hopping on the ferry to Bilbao on Saturday and spending the next two weeks driving to Monaco and back via the Pyrenees and as many coast roads as possible so should be back with some similar photos in three weeks!

Two questions for the forum - with the irritating new EU/French regulations that came into force last week (and reference my Granturismo):

a) Light bulbs - compulsory to carry spares in France & Spain - given that it's not possible to easily change the bulbs anyway (i.e. Xenon fronts/LED rears), do you think just carrying a few 5w bulbs in the car will suffice?
b) Headlight adaptors - can't find any info on Maserati headlight adaptors for European driving - unfortunately I think my car pre-dates the introduction of a built in switch for this purpose - presume I just pick up the Halfords stick on ones and attempt to position them appropriately?

Thanks for any advice!

Just get a bulb set on the ferry. It has all the bulbs the CESMs expect to see. Also, i believe with xenons the beam top is flat so no beam adjusters are required.

Nice combi for you car colour. Mine (Blue med) would suit the grey colour calipers, but i don't think it'll be worth, cause nobody will notice, as rims are the multispoke..
