Lovely pics and fantastic scenary! This has just made me really looking forward to our little trip.

We're heading out this wkend, France one night then Swiss over night before going over Simplon pass, then staying in Verona, watching Aida, visiting Florence and Venice while we're there before heading back.

Car's serviced, cleaned, waxed to high heavens, and packing is going to be interesting, carrying 2 adults and 2 kids together with a week's clothing in the tiny boot!

We did the trip near enough 15 yrs ago in a Porseche 356 Speedster, drove round the coutryside in Tuscany and stayed in a little guest house in Montalcino. Spent half my fortune drinking Brunello ever since! Now with 2 kids tagged along, the GranTurismo is going to be perfect.

There something about driving a road trip in Italy, it just makes your heart goes alll fussy, esp in an Italian sports car!

Would be great to see a line of Maseratis through the Tuscan country side one day!
