Researching the Granturismo Sport

That's a lovely looking car, blu sophisticato was the launch colour for the MY2013 onwards GT Sport. I wouldn't worry about mileage toouch, just keep it regularly maintained but the best thing is to make sure it gets a good run at least once per week. Keeps everything fresh.

For your parts, you can go the main dealer route or go to scuderia or eurospares. For the struts SGS engineering do a good quality pattern part.

Well done on your purchase, a real beauty

One of the carbon options on a GT is carbon wing mirror covers, door handles and boot spoiler which would look great against the blue and not too much black in my opinion. Eurospares may have a second hand set from a dismantled car

Enjoy the car, a great time of year for a new purchase too

There was a similar colour GT Sport for sale from GT Two, a forum member had recently purchased, which has the carbon options ticked.

Looks really cool.

Just to share my experience, I guess it’s a one-off:
I fitted these today and unfortunately I think they’ve sent me the wrong size because the tailgate lid nearly touches the rear window! I’ve complained to SGS because the brackets also touched the lid and actually scratched the paint!
The stiff original struts are back on for now, and thinking I’ll order the OEM ones from euro.

Well THIS was a great share, I’ve never done intricate painting before in my life. Really happy with the results - first coat only so far!

Link to the colour (Race Red 220) Humbrol I’ve used here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000ELE...abc_91PQNVCWMFAX2C9P5E0S?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Nice job!

Did the same on mine…Revell do a ‘Ferrari red’ which is what I used to do mine

If a car at 60k plus miles has a good subframe, fresh brakes, good remaining clutch wear, good suspension with bushes replaced, good tyres, strong paper history and no known issues - what's the problem?

Or should owners of sub 60k miles cars sell them before they self destruct and they're only worth 2p?

Part of the enjoyment of these cars is using them, and a Granturismo makes a great mile eater and daily.

F*cking tremendous post.

Hmm that's strange. I'm sure others have used them without issue.

I fitted some from SGS a couple of weeks ago and they are perfect. Cross check the part number you ordered as they may have sent you ones for the bonnet?
