QPV AirCon blowing hot on passenger side

Have an issue where half my car is getting hot air and the other half cold air? I had the air con compressor replaced and charged about a year ago but for the last few months I have had this issue. Is it likely to be the air con passenger sensor? Any advice on how to tackle it?

Took a closer look today not getting any error codes... and temp sensors are both working Screenshot_20240902-135514_Autel MaxiAP200.jpg

I finally got mine working today (AC that is). It does however seem to have the same as you. I will go get the readings in a bit. My compressor now also seems unwilling to cut off ( other than if I turn off the switch on the panel).

It will be one of your actuators. You can see them on the diag.

Okay I'll take a look tomorrow. Thank you where is the actuator and how easy is the replacement?

Under the dash and I think one side is easier than the other @conaero will confirm the swear jar rating I am sure.

Done loads on Ghibli/Levante/QP6 but never on QP5/GT/GC so someone else will have to give it the swear box rating. It’s not going to be easy.

One thing I do know is not to buy the cheap Chinese ones as you will be going through the pain again. Get the main dealer part.

Excuse my naivety here but I assume doing an air con re-gas will do nothing to help? The only option is the dash removal pain

Well mine is now working, I guess it was stuck a bit. Only issue I have now is that it thinks the interior temp is 24.5 degrees when it was blimin freezing with the air con on. Fan is cycling up and down as would expect, but it clearly is not getting passenger compartment temp right. I guess I need to find where the sensor is and get a new one. Anyone know where it is?

How do you know what it thinks the interior temp is?

The sensor is near your knees, I recall. Behind a little grill. Looks like a microphone

It just started working. Perhaps I had cycled the temperature controls a bit. It had not worked for sometime as AC was broken, so I guess getting AC working again gave it the impetus to free up the actuator.

i can not find where the interior temp sensor is…

Because the temp sensor is wrong this is what is tricking your HVAC and I don’t think the actuator is your problem. Fix the temp sensor first and I recon it will all work.

The AC is attempting to climate the cabin based on what the temp sensor is incorrectly reporting.

I concur!

Now if I could just find the temp sensor(s). I have a horrible feeling they are part of the AC control panel. Cannot find anything on Eurospares other than sensors which look like they are for measuring treated air. There seems to be two small grills each side of the display on the AC panel so I think that may be them.
