Garage called me to say that the clutch wear reading was 98% and they recommend it is replaced!! Can't wait to get the car back to see the difference with a new clutch.

had you been experiencing problems before hand Omar , clutch readings are very spurios at the best of times , i did over 8000 after having my clutch read at Dick Lovetts , they told me it was a 100% worn but the car had no adverse driving affects, started to get a little bit of slip/the odd popping out of gear some 5K miles and 2 years down the line , my advice be a little cautious
regards loz
I'd say so yes, mine went very quickly after this - would not find reverse or 1st and 3-4 seconds for changes once moving.I noticed this afternoon that my 4200 popped out of gear twice when being reversed using extremely low revs . I mean when one is backing up to park up by a wall, slowly. Clutch?

Clutch had life in it, but the fingers that control the plates were worn/damaged so the whole unit had to be replaced.
Sounds similar to James69......and Matts...the fingers collapsiing.....how many miles on this clutch?
