That’s a good idea , thank you .Just remember to line the rear bumper openings with masking tape first as inevitably shaking it all about will lead to scratches if you don’t.
Are you fitting it yourself, if so can you provide a few pics and notes?
can you tell what it is yet ????
I had a similar experience having a 4200 boot seal delivered to the office. It looked like a coffin with tridents all over it. Never did live that one down, and got some funny looks on the tube home too.It reminds me of the time I ordered a rear box for my Alfa GTV6 and had it delivered to work.
I had a completely different idea in my head about how big a rear silencer would be and when my receptionist rang me to say someone had just delivered a large fridge for me I was a bit confused. Yes, the box it came in was the same size as a 60 x 60 x 180 cm fridge. I'd forgotten about the bit of pipework either side of the silencer.
Luckily I managed to squeeze the unpacked exhaust into the car's interior to get it home.
Unfortunately, I was in the Elise that day, and getting 4 tyres into an Elise is impossible
Yes I fitted a forum X pipe from Benny a couple of months back. I have a lift in my garage and it was quite easy as the original joints came apart quite easily. Removed the rear undertray to allow good access to the rear boxes and then did as Newton says. Would be difficult I suspect without the hoist as I had to twist the rear boxes about a bit to get them off.Not sure about fitting it myself , I am tempted to have a go but I have a mate who works in a garage too , anyone else tried ?
