Just remember to line the rear bumper openings with masking tape first as inevitably shaking it all about will lead to scratches if you don’t.

It is easy as long as you can get the car up high enough and safely secured (axle stands all round as a minimum) before rolling around under it. See if you can use a post lift somewhere.

Actually fittin it is easy, mask the bumper, drop the cross brace in front of the rear axle between the pipes. Then remove the sections behind the centre box, then the centre box and reverse. You may find the clips are fractured at the joints if they have previously been over tightened. They are available on fleabay. Also note the clips are welded on with a spot of weld.

It reminds me of the time I ordered a rear box for my Alfa GTV6 and had it delivered to work.

I had a completely different idea in my head about how big a rear silencer would be and when my receptionist rang me to say someone had just delivered a large fridge for me I was a bit confused. Yes, the box it came in was the same size as a 60 x 60 x 180 cm fridge. I'd forgotten about the bit of pipework either side of the silencer.

Luckily I managed to squeeze the unpacked exhaust into the car's interior to get it home.

I had a similar experience having a 4200 boot seal delivered to the office. It looked like a coffin with tridents all over it. Never did live that one down, and got some funny looks on the tube home too.

I had 4 tyres delivered to my office once, back when I worked in an office with a car park that is.

Unfortunately, I was in the Elise that day, and getting 4 tyres into an Elise is impossible, so I had to leave 2 by my desk.
Turns out that 2 tyres in an open plan office overnight produces a smell of rubber that hangs around for a couple of days.
Everyone laughed at first, but by day 2, I wasn't popular!

Hardly surprising with an Elise but it's astonishing how big tyres, or wheels, are. I had four winter tyres delivered to my local Citroën dealer and I had ordered four steel rims for them, had agreed a price for fitting, balancing and swapping them over onto my car.

The C6 is a big car - with folding down rear seats and a huge loading space - but I only just managed to squeeze all four summer wheels in, to get them home. I was contemplating a second trip at one point.

Yes I fitted a forum X pipe from Benny a couple of months back. I have a lift in my garage and it was quite easy as the original joints came apart quite easily. Removed the rear undertray to allow good access to the rear boxes and then did as Newton says. Would be difficult I suspect without the hoist as I had to twist the rear boxes about a bit to get them off.
My only problem was that TNT had obviously decided to throw my pipe around as one of the front pipes was slightly squashed and need reshaping before it would slide onto the cat. Also beware the old resonator weighs about 3 times that of the X pipe.

Guy I work with ordered some 19" wheels for his M3 off Ebay without telling his missus and had them delivered to the office. For some reason, they were delivered in 2 batches so we rang him up knowing he was on a golf course and couldn't answer the phone to say that 2 wheels had been delivered to the office but the other two had been sent home. Took about 10 mins for him to phone up in a state of panic. We were slightly disappointed he hadn't fessed up to his missus in the meantime but provided us with a good laugh.
