Same here and done a lot of research and come up with this. It’s about £1250 currently down from nearly £2k and rates top in a lot of tests. I’ve seen the picture and it’s stunning

So it’s good Andy?
Can you set it up over Wi-Fi and not have to plug any antenna/dish in and watch over freeview and terrestrial apps (iPlayer) only?
How very traditional, Andy. When you turn it on, does telly come on or instead a bewildering array of apps to annoy you and clamour for a tenner a month of your hard-earned?I have no idea Matt as I turn it on to watch programmes and turn it off when I have finished and that’s about it.
Surely 11...?Anything from Samsung. We’ve got a 65” curved thing (no idea why model) and it’s awesome.

Spoilsport.
Does it play the national anthem at the end of each day and then show the test card?I have no idea Matt as I turn it on to watch programmes and turn it off when I have finished and that’s about it.

That’s only the recent Harmony, Eclipse and Contour.B&O stuff looks great but the screen is from an LG (nothing wrong with that) so perhaps save 5K and look at LGs as the picture quality is identical.
Of course the soundbars can’t compare with the proper 5.1 surround setup I run in the TV lounge but you’d be very surprised at how close the Stage comes to a 5.1 setup.I have an LG with 4K and I am so glad I got 4K its well worth it. I have linked the optical output from the TV to my old Panasonic Dolby surround amplifier and it sounds excellent. Not a fan of sound bars as I don't think the surround effect really works.
I am constantly surprised at how much of current TV is available in 4K, most of you tube, all BBC i-player, I have netflix with 4K and most of amazon prime is 4k. And the picture quality is truly epic. If you have not had a look at 4k TV you really should.
I'd refuse to buy any telly that turns straight on without the valves warming through first. Witchcraft!Does it play the national anthem at the end of each day and then show the test card?
