Well done on the sale. A great price and quick sale so very good result.

There seems to be two types of sale. Ones that get snapped up quick then the ones that hang around for a while. Doesn't seem many inbetween.

Yeah it’s about public perception I suppose most people who buy my cars are young kids with too much money on finance up to the eyeballs , they just want to look good in nice cars however I do them so they are back to oem

Not necessarily true, an original car will always command more money than a modified one. It would also attract potential investors as they eye a future appreciating asset.

Apparently not. This is a particular market or rather "peculiar" would be a better choice of word. But one to be exploited nonetheless.
That said, I'm sure most here would prefer the OP chose a different marque to tarnish. If the OP wishes to do so though ... etc., etc.
One final thought - I'm not sure joining an enthusiast's forum and stating "most Maserati look like ****" will endear to many.
I suspect though the OP cares not a jot. Much like his clientele.

And for your remarks I buy salvage Maserati and restore them so rather uphold rather than tarnish. I’m single handedly keeping more masers in the road

And I’m not discrediting anyone’s car on here but the GT’s front end is a very poor undercooked design to make way for the higher mark cars it’s no mistake but it’s a fact

Feel I'm waking up to some Bull Sh1t here or my 40 years in the Motor trade has been a waste of time.

I really don’t care what you think is false or not false just sharing the journey with people on here for future purposes.

I do have some opinions, but I'm keeping them to myself, but you have sold the car, achieved a price that you and your client are happy with so that is good.

You say that you have a plentiful seam of well heeled punters that like the modified exotic.. just curious to see some of the past cars...

This is the first modified exotic I have had most of the cars are get are bone stock oem exotics and I just repair them but if it comes like this one modified I’m not spending ££££ reverting to stock

Reminds me of Dave Cobratwin they come and they go.
I thought I was doing well back in the 80'S repairing damaged E21 BMW'S and selling them on in my 20'S took me a long time to get into exotics.

seems you've alienated yourself a tad here, but hey as you say "you don't care" , so how much exactly did you get for the motor and is it with the new owner now, you shouldn't get so defensive you did come on here for advice after all
