Yup, it has got a different bonnet but I don't think that pic is the same cars as being sold.

the car probably hasn't actually been repaired yet or anywhere near ready for sale and/or the OP is still looking to buy the salvage and gauging interest/value both here and on ebay, who knows it's a real mystery this one, must admit some of you would make bloody good PI's, what are the odds that the listing will be pulled early;)

I think being a part-time PI comes with the territory of buying and selling cars these days! I have spent hundreds of hours digging for that vital nugget of info to get a little edge in so many situations not just on cars. The public information available is quite mind boggling sometimes. Also one of the reasons I keep as much personal information as possible about me off the Internet. Less is more ;)

Are we suggesting that the OP is telling a little porky pie about the car already being sold, and for a figure (presumably) around the £30k mark then?! Maybe in all his excitement from the sale, he's simply forgotten to take down the advert.;)

Seems like the original poster, having made 15 posts on the thread in less than two days has gone absent having been called out.
I am calling BS on this whole thread, I smelt a rat, and generally if it looks like one and talks like one, it is one.
Even the registration number is false.

The “I sold my pimped out cat C for 2ce its fair value” troll has gone awfully quiet... could it be that he made up that fictitious sale when he didn’t like the valuations provided by savvy members of this great forum...? there it is again, my sarcastic side took the better of me!!!

I think most of us knew the market, especially at the moment, won't pay a dime more than a car is worth. We all know roughly what this was worth. Something like this doesn't sell for twice that. Just doesn't happen.

I've learnt to keep an open mind and listen more than I used to years ago. I still trust my gut feelings and initial thoughts though as they a far more often right than wrong.

:)No, you think it was all BS from the start? I can't believe that.

Sorry guys haven’t gone silent I have a job that is my main commitment unlike this thread , however I am sorry to disappoint but that is not my ad as previously stated my car has already been sold , I like the bus of the older generation though when they think they have a armchair win :)

Well that
I don't really care either to be honest. These pimped up modern bling motors are not my cup of tea and not really anything that interests me.

Each to their own so no problems here either way. Same reason I'm not hip or trendy or wear skinny jeans. I don't care what anyone thinks of me either or my cars. As long as I'm happy with me and I'm happy with my cars I couldn't give two hoots what anyone else thinks.

I dare say this is a very different attitude to many millennials and the like in which most of what they do is done for the thoughts and consumption of others.

Well that’s very hypocritical how can you not care about what people think but be so quick to judge?

Look guys I want to make a statement here..

I understand a few of you might be upset that I had a modified Maserati

However I do love the cars I do think they need some development and the build quality isn’t what it should be amongst its competitors

But I will have more maseratis and I will be coming to meets so I don’t want animosity among members of this group

I will post the bill of sale in due course

Of course I was presented with a good offfer and yes It won’t happen every day

But I’m happy I got what I wanted and I am very thankful for the help of this group

I hope we can all remain allies and go forward to preserve and represent in good faith the brand

All the best

Well said.

One of the things that is so great about this forum is that it’s not Pistonheads or other social media sites where everyone often appears to be unnecessarily aggressive, nasty, point-making and pedantic.

I personally think all lovers of Maserati are welcome, and a bit more diversity of age and viewpoints is a fun thing. We even tolerate Wattie and other Brexiteers!

A broad church is a strong church...

For what it’s worth. I would have been interested in your modified car if it was mechanically sound and in 4.7 form. I love a bodykit.
