I'd say most Maser customers would find the mods devalue the car not increase it. There will be some that will value it more for sure. Probably younger than older.

You need to find the younger cats and the millennials rather than us old duffers. My son would love it.....however he is 11!

Probs why I like it I’m in my 20’s

The rear bumper / bodykit doesn't help it either. Had i been a standard car prior to the accident damage, with photos to show, and then fitted with the strad bumper post accidents, less alarm bells would go off.

As it stands, I'd be questioning why it had a bodykit fitted in the first place, previous accident damage perhaps?

These aren't easy cars to sell in the first place, and good ones demand a real premium over anything questionable. They are highly mileage sensitive cost wise, and potential buyers are more cautious than a lot of other cars due to the (perceived?) potential to throw big bills.

Of course this all just limits your market. It's worth what someone will give you, it's just that there are a lot less someones out there for your car unfortunately.

I think what the common misconception is that if a car has a crash its always going to have damage which is nonsense everything can be replaced as good as it was originally , agreed some people will try and bodge them to make quick money but when I do these cars I make sure everything is as it should be no matter how long it takes

Very few people will buy a crashed-and-repaired car for anything close to the price of an equivalent car that’s not been crashed. And modifying a car like a GranTurismo lowers the price and limits the market yet further. But there will be a buyer for it out there somewhere. My advice would be to sell it to the first person that shows proper interest, even if the offer is not for quite as much as you’d like, as it may take a very long time to find another buyer.

I’m not really interested in just taking anything for it I don’t need the money and have loads of other projects to do I might just daily it until someone comes along if my guy does not buy it

I Agree, thats the uneducated non mechanical British public for you. Too much money and no practical experience, then you throw Maserati into the mix and you can tell what you're up against.

I've seen straight 4.2s with slightly more miles for less than £20k. You'd be lucky to see anything approaching that as the market for the car will be very small.

But all it takes is one person to be interested and you might get what you're after, or like you said you could just use it yourself until the right offer comes along later down the line.

As a semi retired dealer, I am afraid CAT D is totally rejected by 99% of the Trade, unless its very very cheap and on SOR. Mods certainly dont help, and IMHO 13-15 is the very best you can expect., when you can pick up a normal undamaged 4-2 for 16 ish trade...
