Sadly this is the thing we should all worry about, easy tj say it won’t escalate, but we are dealing with a guy who won’t back down, a guy who has threatened the world with his nuclear capability and dusted down his intercontinental nuclear warheads.

Someone needs to put a gun to his temple and pull the trigger …….

I don’t disagree with the sentiment at the end. But there was no dust on his nuclear warheads. This is the point of mutual assured destruction, they are always ready to go, instantly.

It’s unclear to me what sort of “special alert” would be above always ready to fire in seconds. Similarly, I imagine the NORAD is at defcon 1, but didn’t feel the need to say so.

Anyway, he will back down, providing he gets something he wants, the invasion is a means to an ends, he is a lunatic, but he isn’t stupid.

Looks like Mazepin will lose his seat at Haas. Clearly there's no point in having a talentless pay driver if you cannot get paid. Save on the crash budget. Pietro Fittipaldi will take his seat.

Mazepin, who clearly supports Putin has felt the wrath of Clarkson via Twitter after Mazepin was questioned about the war and deflected with sports and politics shouldn't mix.

And rightly so, no Russian athlete should be allowed to compete in the Western World. Vladamir has well and truly set out his stall this time.

My sister has been spotting a lot of russian private jets this afternoon leaving Moscow and St Petersburg, heading West. I wonder what that is all about?

Noticed above, that you can upgrade for a faster ad-free flight tracker 24 experience with more features and data. Just wondering would that upgrade possibly include tracking nuclear missiles heading West. Before some specific person replies that such a facility would not be fast enough to accomplish that task, I wasn’t being serious. But I have established that hiding in a fridge won’t help either.

Belarus will fold when Putin goes. I sincerely hope you're right. Putin's now reaching for the nukes. Full Tonto to quote Biden.
We can go full Tonto too mate, that's what he needs to realise, I sometimes think he has some sort of brain tumor that makes him think this way....

Get the assets out of Russia before European airspace is fully closed. People made rich by Putin, now abandoning the ship in the form of taking value items out of his grasp.

It was telling that Roman Abramovich's latest mega yacht was pulled from it's dock, before being fully ready and sea trialed last week. That was a couple of days prior to the invasion. Roman knew.

Roman knew ? The whole world knew ! but waited for it to happen. Don’t get me wrong, I have no idea what could have been done in advance, but I’m sure something could have been done.

It seems that in this conflict there is little reporting from the front line so it’s hard to gauge what’s really going on.
I assume the NATO AWACS fleet is in the sky and they know precisely what is going on and most likely are giving the details to Ukraine. Besides, since I don't want to get an atomic death already, I wonder what's wrong with a country of the Neutral type, Nokia bought Alcatel, I myself have just bought an Ikea kitchen for an apartment in Italy, Austria and Switzerland each do business with East West North South. But I don't mean to be so provocative as to suggest that the Ukraine should return Eastern Galicia to Poland (Lviv or Lvov) and Ruthenia to the Czech Republic as they were before the last war :)

A NATO one apparently staying at the border, NATO has its own fleet based in Germania which controllers are from several NATO countries. The French have the E3-F. Their cell is still Boeing 707 !

I'd think Putin is very worried , he must've thought it was the height of the cold war where the world was terrified of the Soviets.

People don't like bullies , I don't know how launching russian nuclear weapons works but you'd hope somebody would put a bullet in his brain before it gets to that if it is his decision .
