As a few of you might remember , i sounded out at the Emblem meet 27th Feb the idea of arranging the largest Maserati meeting in the UK with the intention of setting or breaking any world record that might stand , it appears initially tho im awaiting official confirmation that there is no Guinness official world record kept on a Maserati Parade , altho there is for Ferrarheehee, :saifi3: Fiats :saifi: and Mazda' now that should get the hackles up :thumb1:

Initial response was upbeat with a few nods of im up for it so here i go to try and get a wider response before i set on the mammoth task of trying to set something up, looking for ideas Venues whether to make it charity based aswell, and also to get as much media coverage aswell ,

First thoughts were somewhere central and prestigious with a beautiful setting ie Stowe School or Blenlnheim palace , aswell as incorporating other clubs and forums etc, so any help to engage them into the event would be greatly appreciated.

Thoughts and ideas welcome

Lets do it, we would need 100 cars though at least.

Loz, if we can do it under the umbrella of SportsMaserati.com that would be excellent publicity, and attract many more members.

Let me know what you need from me.

If you enjoy looking at chavved-up 800bhp rice-burners I suppose it is.

There was a new one in the village yesterday and I was underwhelmed- it looked like a Ford Scorpio from the front, the interior was uninspired and the only interesting thing was the uncoordinated badging on the rear saying 3.5 and 350x.

Great idea Loz and somewhere like Blenheim should ensure you get the northern contingent attending, I would certainly make the trip.

Cheers

Forgive me if im wrong Andy , but roughly it has to be the same as say bournmouth/poole to Blenheim as it is from Scouseland , where the northerners have the advantage is that the motorway system in the North and Midlands is far superior, and easier to get to A-B , us lilly livered milk fed soft skinned southerners will have to contend with hours of traffic holdups and mile upon mile of potholes , we are still open for another venue but elland road is out of the question:embarrassed:

For something like this, which sounds very exciting, we should really loop in the official Club too, as they can come up with a fairly decent number of cars.

Sorry Maurizio i forgot to tell you, thats exactly where you come in:muscle: we will need to Muster all the massers we can , so joining forces with all concerned is a must and the European forums thats where Boomerang will come in ,

It was proved on a thread i started a little while ago back on MF that when something serious comes up we can muster the muscle when it matters was it just a test case perhaps a forerunner for exactly this reason lets see

Please Maurizio do all you can to bring them on board , i was intending to try to engage them myself but im sure with your influence, it could be a darn site easier. Feel free to pm me

Oh why do I get myself into more work!!!

Kidding aside, will do all to help. Club is a bit slow but will do my best to see what we can do. Let's speak more offline.
