Flipping Nora, my diary doesn't go that far and I'll be 50 years old by then! God that's depressing! Anyway assuming a Zimmer frame fits in the boot, count me in.

Towering Inferno's Adam, you're on fire tonight!!! Thanks my young comrade!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But yes, you're right; 50 is a big one. I had no problem with turning 20, 30 or 40, but 50 will be different. I'm very lucky to have grown up children (both older than you) that I get on really well with, and at work I'm surrounded by a predominantly young workforce, so the combined youthful enthusiasm rubs off, but at 50 there'll be no denying it's time to start rubbing on the Ralgex. There again there's always Mick J, Bowie, Iggy, Ronnie W etc. Maybe 60 is the new 50?

I am 45 so I have 5 years to save for a GTS MC Shift that will take away any worries about being old when I pick it up on my 50th birthday

If it transpires that it is 2014 when this happens, then I know it seems a long way off and there's groundwork to do before going public, but I'd urge that it is made public that this is a Sports Maserati event as soon as possible, otherwise there's a reasonable chance we might get gazumped.

If we're looking for a really big turnout (what number do we need for the world record I wonder?) then I guess we'll be looking for overseas participants as well and therefore at least 12 months notice to get the date firmly in the diary.

Once it is 'live' there's loads that can be done. The dealer network, indi's and parts companies will fall over themselves to be involved. All those potential customers in one place at the same time! so plenty of opportunity for sponsorship, financial support, etc.

Just my thoughts....

I agree we do not want to rush it and miss a great opportunity for a one of event, better to delay by a year and do some work first
