Bal,

Sounds a good trip. A long run will help her to bed in and allow you to be 'at one' with her.

Looking forward to the picutres.
Enjoy the ride!

Hope the weather is kind to you Bal and I hope you have a great time. From what I've read of it you're in for a memorable time and I can't wait to see the photo's, particularly the group shots.

Safe travels...

Well I embarked on the journey to the K 40 event in Dijon today.
We have made it to our overnight stop in St Omer in good time. Car has so far behaved herself, earlier calcs showed 16mpg, however I expect that to have dropped as air-con came on later. Will calculate again in the morning when we fill up, but all dependant on the odometer being accurate etc.

Will grab photos tomorrow along the way. I'll keep you guys updated on the event.

Looking forward to those pictures..Have fun....I'm sure you will...

Got back today around 4:30. Car ran great apart froma couple of minor niggles. Met some great folk on the way, the crossing being packed with Brit cars of all sorts all petrolheads.

I'll post up a full report when I've settled back in, but highlight has to be meeting the great man Marchello Gandini and getting him to sign a copy of the original design print that the factory guys (Ermano Cozza & Fabio Colina) gave all of us. Ermano & Fabio are both great guys too, so down to earth.

27 cars in total turned up with a further French car joining at one of the events.

What an awesome event, with a car that you don't see very often.

Sorry Loz, was that the Brown car? If so it was owned by one of the organisers (Doug). McGraths have been preparing a few of the cars another being the Red one that has had a full respray at ALS Automotive in Wales which was there as well.

Some pics, including on of Gandini, though only taken on a phone.

The yellow/gold car is the original Turin Motor show car that was lost for many years. It has a lot of non production features and has only just had the paint returned to the original colour. Engine was still not complete, but they had Gandini sign the glovebox lid.

For the concours they placed the cars around the fountain that you can see in the picture of the grounds of the venue.

I'll work through some more over the next few days

You're telling me Newton !

I kept telling my mate who was my co-driver not to trust the handbrake, the lever is almost at 45 degrees when fully on and not very assuring.

I'll try to write up the events over the next few days and post up. There are likely to be some articles from other coming up and more pictures being posted up in the maserati section on Ferrarichat if you guys are interested.

NOt sure I can remember that far back. Mind you it's the short term memory going not the long term, i.e. going upsatirs to fetch something and forgetting by the time you've climbed the stairs.

I'll have to try to update this weekend otherwise you guys will have to wait another two weeks cos I'll be tied up.
