Dad had a restaurant and i wanted to add few dishes but when you have a greek restaurant your limited with what you could do so i knew people that knew the owners and they were in trouble so i offered to take over the rent and have the restaurant as my own....i ran it as mine between early 2006 to late 2007
Was doing well and had great customers as i knew the area can take a bit of upper class service

When they opened downstairs and kids were going clubbing it ruined the restaurant as kids were wheel spinning and getting drunk and i offered to buy the club and they said no as it earned so much in rent so i left.....

Months before dad was struggling on his own as his right hand man left so i went back in with him and that was the last time i owned something myself

Brazillian meat buffet is where the club was, not where i was, i had upstairs
Lovely place, overlooks london at night and very classy, had a pianist in there and it set the tone

I wanted the club to make it.........a brazillian buffet

I went to one in islingtin and thiught we need one here, when people go there it brings in publicity to upstairs and as their both mine theres no competition, both were aimed at different markets, some wine we had upstairs was 6k a bottle!!!!

Brazilian meat buffet? Was that the name of the club? Should have been called the 'Badly wrapped Kebab'.

What happened to the pub near the Boots on the corner that started up not so long ago as a music place? Also, ever go to Haven - parents and friends go there a bit.

It's become the Stone Marquee, a sort of restaurant-cum-gig venue-cum nightclub. Judging by the carry on on the rare occasions I happen by late on Friday to Sunday evenings, it's also Whetstone's emphatic answer to the whole Cougar Town concept.

Haven? Occasional celebratory meals and such: always offput by the stony-faced patron, glasses on a cord, watching all, observing all, and mentally counting every last farthing...
