There were a few at Le Mans and they do look good but, IMO, they don't suit black. When they get down to 30k a V8 or V6S will be a good car to buy.

think these look nice, and agree nice change - getting back to the e-type days of Jag being cool (not that I remember this)
checked the Jag website and was surprised that the standard and sport version are v6 - I guess sadly these sort of eco versions will sell better than the v8

Agree on the black bit Ian.....M wife say a black one and didn't rate it...Then we say a red one and she loved it. This is a great bit of design and a very desirable Jag. Love it.

Maybe Frank but it works very well..... Maserati need to look ver hard at what Jag are doing with the F Coupe and convertable as it's a beautiful car which is what I have come to expect from Maserati since the 3200...........But with the current range they have missed the mark by a country mile.....apart from the GT that is which is now 6 years old.

I don't think exclusivity is what they are aiming for. They are out to sell as many as they can as fast as they can. The performance is very good, it looks good and they sound good too. At 30k it will be good value too.

Frank, they are upwards of 70k new but I reckon in 3 years or so they will be about the 30k mark. Jag residuals usually drop like an anvil so there will be bargains in the not too far distant future.

Aren't the residuals greatly improving with the new popularity of the brand though?

Hard to say. Aston is a very popular marque but those things devalue something terrible. Jags have always had fairly heavy depreciation so it will be interesting to see what happens. However, even cars with good residuals lose about 50 percent over the first 3 years so I can see them going for 25-30k at that point, depending on engine and spec.

Don't like the Corvette-like rear-end. I wish they'd made the prototype they had 10 years ago but didn't have the money to make it.

Have one of these living next door as the house owner works for Jag.
Car sound wonderful...maybe even a little too loud.
He tells me they already have used demos for sale and are discounting those.

The car is too small for me esp the boot...hopefully the coupe will be a little bigger for luggage.

Definitely true, and I agree with you. That is why I've never/am yet to ever buy new.

I more meant that Jag's residuals will be better than Jag's own residuals had previously been...which was woeful. The Jag's of 10yrs ago, was it the XJ's that were the one's based on a Mondeo?, the residuals on those had to be among the worst in the upper-end of the saloon market.

Do ou think Astons devalue something terrible......Mabe the V12 but the Vantage is one car that really holds its value......Even an early one is still over 30k and it 9 years old. Vantages hold their value as far as I can see...
