You have got to be kidding me! That massive chunk of metal wouldn't go anywhere near fitting in the little pocket in my 501's. Are you buying your jeans from a supermarket comfort range, with elasticated pockets? ;)

Obviously as I require a larger condom, my pockets have been customised to fit.

I'll be driving for most of the weekend but I might not get as far as Chi, Matt!

More torture from the dealer:

The look of these cars is highly sensitive to colour & wheels, IMO. I'm delighted with how it looks on the anthracite 20s; it's the first time I've seen how it now looks! The wheels were crucial to the deal as I didn't like what was originally on the car. These wheels are brand new from the factory and fitted with brand new tyres as well - result!

It does look well, seeing a few including the new QP too driving around.

Mark - what is the spec on your car? What sort of options are there?

You've got me interested.

Mark if you are ever in the area please just keep on driving past! :D

Only joking mate, if you are local (say within 60 miles) then feel free to pop in for a brew!

Just driven it home and have a huge grin on my face - it's a glorious place to be! The car wafts around as I wanted, but also goes like a stabbed rat when you stamp on the loud pedal, especially in Sport mode. I'm going out again now, more driving to be done.

Also, a very big thumbs up to the main dealer who supplied the car - Ridgeway Maserati in Oxford. Outstanding customer service and great guys to negotiate with! It was a fantastic experience turning up at the showroom today and then leaving in my new toy. Insomnia - be gone!!

So glad you are liking your new toy. Your initial impressions are similar to mine when I tested one. Have fun!

All that the Sport button does on the Diseasal is to make the fake engine noise louder mate. You're just imagining it being any faster...

There's nothing wrong with that engine though - it's certainly got some poke!

How far have you been today then?

Sport mode also changes the gearbox settings, making it somewhat sharper to pick up. I think it also delivers better throttle response. I'm imagining nothing!

You think? ;)

If the car has Skyhook, it changes the suspension settings and the sound from the exhaust fakery.
If the car doesn't have Skyhook, it just changes the sound from the exhaust fakery.
I'm 99.999% certain it doesn't change the gearbox settings, other than the change point being slightly higher. Willing to bet if you put it to the test against a stopwatch there's no difference.
