Just need to have your trouser pockets reinforced now for the 2kg key they deem necessary for new Masers ;)

I've just bought a Ghibli! As I'm extremely impatient I've asked the dealer to have the car ready for collection on Saturday. I now have the excitement and anticipation that I've had with all previous Maseratis and no other car I've owned.

Big thanks to Athol (Outrun), who gave me some much heeded information and advice following his Ghibli purchase. It was very helpful indeed!

Photos when I get her and watch out later for the sale thread for my lovely Alfa 159 ti.

Great news. Good to see more people buying Ghibli. Taking one for the brand!

^^^^ True Story!

:D

Key fits nicely in the little pocket that you have in jeans that's rumoured to be there for condoms. At least it feels more in keeping with a brand like Maserati that the rubbish given out with 42s etc. The 32 was nicer than those blue plastic things!

Just saying.

You have got to be kidding me! That massive chunk of metal wouldn't go anywhere near fitting in the little pocket in my 501's. Are you buying your jeans from a supermarket comfort range, with elasticated pockets? ;)

Lol like a kid!

I give it 24 hours before you think what a bland boring soulless motor it is and want to go out in the Banana to balance it all out! :D

48 at least! It's my new station car/snotter. I don't need a thoroughbred racing car for those duties, hence having both - they do different jobs.

I'll be driving for most of the weekend but I might not get as far as Chi, Matt!

More torture from the dealer:

The look of these cars is highly sensitive to colour & wheels, IMO. I'm delighted with how it looks on the anthracite 20s; it's the first time I've seen how it now looks! The wheels were crucial to the deal as I didn't like what was originally on the car. These wheels are brand new from the factory and fitted with brand new tyres as well - result!
