I'm very wary of these aftermarket keyless entry gizmos...try and explain it to your insurance that you car has a system that you fitted (or even an autoelectrician fitted) is responsible for the security of your car. I'm sure they'll duly raise your premium. ;)
And what benefit do they provide? Blip, open door, flick key out, insert key and turn. Hardly a time saver...

Call me old fashioned, but I enjoy using a key to start the car.

A bit like changing gears, although I must be a bit lazy having an MC Shift.

You're old-fashioned and lazy. ;)

But you have the satisfaction of flappy paddles to control the gear. Even autos have this facility, so you're still in full control.

There was one of these on my car when I bought it but they had to use 2 switches instead of just one stop-start switch. I found out why when I bought a stop-start switch and plugged it in. The car start option was in think max 2 seconds and if the car doesn’t start you have to push to switch ignition off then go through the process again and again and again until it starts. Because it’s not plugged into the ecu to know when the engine is started to stop trying to start it uses a timer circuit.
Also disabling the oem immobiliser and steering lock I think is taking the car back to the 1970 as all you will need to do is short out a few wires at the bottom of the steering column to start and drive away

The immobilizer in the 3200 can be easily disabled by taping the small transponder in the key to the ring coil beneath the steering column shroud. The immobilizer also has no encryption and a cheap transponder cloning machine will happily create a duplicate transponder so you don’t have to mess with your original keys

How do I remove the hand brake handle?
Grub screw on the underside of the handle. its a bit fiddly!

Also, when you pull the centre tunnel consul, watch the two metal tangs that hook under the dash at the front, they make a nasty mess of the leather if you let them.

Guys! It's done!
I have to confess, that I was a bit desperate at first look because there was no guidance attached but it's much easier than it seemed. The wires are guiding you...

1. I had to pull out the original display
2. I removed the middle tunnel with the NIT
3. removed the NIT from the housing
4. replaced it with the ACAR device
5. plugged it in and threaded the data cable to the display and plugged it in
...and it plays music now

It's a bit strange that the display itself is only held in place by the frame, but it seems to work. The hazard lights are not working currently but maybe I plugged the switch to weak. All I know is that the wires from the switch are going into a "canbus decoder box"

Then I tried to connect Bluetooth but it failed. Will continue tomorrow and keep you updated...

this was truly fiddly - because the screw is hidden under the leather of the handle
