Having taken this bit apart, it's not much work to do once you've got the engine bay covers off, the wipers off and dropped a few fasteners. In my opinion, Ash's engine covers look very smart and are a big improvement over the acreage of black plastic in most Granturismo engine bays; well done, that man!! What about the scuttle under the wipers? I'm thinking dipping this panel would seriously enhance the Granturismo front end. Or should it be copied in genuine Carbon fibre? Group buy? What say the congregation?

£550 for the 3 also have a set of real carbon ones but just sold thembe good to see the results also. Fingers crossed it will end up nice. Sure it will. What sort of price are you paying?

I'm not sure how the process would work or look as I'm sure there's a few holes in that scuttle panel. It would look quite subtle. A hint of carbon weave between the bonnet and windscreen.
It should work...
Scuttle:
There are 2 b@stard screws which will scupper you plans, Both facing upwards in the elements.
Drivers side wiper arm torx of the stabiliser arm and the other side on the passenger side.
The passenger one has its own recess that fills up with water and rusts. Rounding the heads that then require an angle drill head to get in and drill it out.
Good practice is to clean and dry both and flood with penetrating spray over a few days.
The wiper arm one you can actually pull it through with the grommet without undoing it. You just need to undo the two screws at the base of the stabiliser arm.
Tempting, but as Conaero said it might be tricky. I agree i would look good, but not 100% sure i'd want to obviously change the OE look. Good idea, might grow on me..In my opinion, Ash's engine covers look very smart and are a big improvement over the acreage of black plastic in most Granturismo engine bays; well done, that man!!
