Glad you like it, is your engine running full pressure now, what was the culprit in the end?

Hey Matt, how's the holiday? Car's fine now. A combination of shells and a pressure leak within the oil pump. Been discussing on other threads. Pressure is just a smidgen below 2.5 bar at warm, but I'm putting this down to the transmitter, which are cr@p.

On the sender point Miles....could it/they have been working correctly due to the failing oil pump.......even when you replaced, still erratic because the pressure was erratic?!

No P One was erratic, but two were just plain wrong. My car's been checked repeatedly with an oil pressure gauge as we completely discounted the transmitters as spurious. Sits in the same place as the transmitter, but is a pressure gauge rather than an electronic interpretation of pressure.

Have you checked the pressure transducers? Be worth checking them against a known pressure and measuring voltage for each of them.

Haven't done this Chris, but have manually pressure tested the engine, so I know what the discrepancy is.

Brilliant Miles ...look forward to a ride in her next Thursday...

Definitely Andy, Looking forward to it. :D

Try the ECM next!

Yes MS, that has crossed my mind several times, but I'm still leaning towards the DMS.

Hi Miles,

Have you needed to reset the master switch since wet day?

that seemed to clear the warning lights for you at the time...

Hi 2b1, No everything's been fine. Popped in to Shiltech before fitting the DBW so they could clear the codes stored from Rockingham and check everything was okay. Fitted the DBW (took most of the day over it, as cutting into the loom was a bit scary) and everything's been perfect. Can thoroughly recommend the DBW module if you fancy adding a bit more va-va-voom! :D

That's great news Miles, DBW is tempting but not top of my ilst at this moment... got a daughter coming home from uni (Southampton) for two years to live at home with BF.... so I'm converting a couple of rooms downstairs to a flatlet for them! She id going to be doing a MSc at UCL so needs a couple of cheap years accomodation!

Good old bank of mum & dad!

I will go with the remap as soon as I can rearange but the one thing I do want is faster gear changes... Daft thing is we know the box can take it as in Ferrari set up it is outrageously fast!

I had my DBW configured to 'aggressive' and 'very aggressive' - certainly recommend the second setting for lightning fast changes. Not too harsh either for regular driving.

Hi MS, Yes I think Enzo may have dome this also. Did you have it delivered like this or did you return it for the more aggressive settings after having tried it?

I have just had an up-graded DBW fitted and it's turned my car into a psychotic axe murderer! Clutch take-up from stationary is much better, the gear changes are a lot sweeter under power and the throttle response is much improved throughout. It even seems to make more sonorous output (noise) but I can't see how it could be. Overall, it's now the car it should always have been. Fantastic!

Yes, thanks to you Dicky. I just need to get the driver sorted out now but that, I'm afraid is way beyond realm of electronics!
