The Ghibli diesel sounds great at the back with the fake sound but stand/sit at the front under idle and you can't hide it.

Hope you are wrong but just checked the uk site and only shows diesel while main site shows three options.

I'd imagine that most UK SUVs are diesel powered so that's the most likely demand for a Levante. I'd be interested to see the sales figures for Ghiblis, but would think that the vast majority sold have been diesel. Maserati won't spend a lot of time and money developing RHD petrol Levantes if they don't see the demand.

How many Petrol Cayennes or Land Rovers are sold? Not many but i would have still thought they would have one petrol in the line up, then again if that petrol is not on par with Porsches Turbo what is the point?
The diesel will have more of an impact for them in terms of competing

So diesel only while rest of world has two petrol choices. This is just when diesel usage is about to drop as people realise it pollutes more and post VW probably isn't a lot cheaper especially since most buyers will be low mileage

Also with the Ghibli/QP the diesel is annual servicing whereas the petrol is like the GranTurismo - 2 years if you are low mileage.

I'll be double checking with maranello on Monday. Not sure I want to continue with order if only diesel.

Sales of diesel Ghiblis outnumber petrol by about 4 to 1 I reckon. Not an official figure, just my estimate based on how many of each are on sale on Autotrader and PH at any one time.
