Post-Brexit referendum, isn't the mph weaker against the kph? So surely we can do 150mph and it's only around 120kph.

That's the excuse I'll be using, anyway.

Here's hoping that Brexit will remove these tie-ups as we can't prosecute European drivers in the same way they can 'do' us.

Good old UK cash cow.

Can't we just go full stop exit tomorrow? Ok it would be caps for a couple of weeks but it would sort itself out soon enough. At the risk of upsetting CB we shouldn't pay another penny.

What I don't understand is why we can't just adopt the European rule for prosecuting European drivers? It wouldn't be a difficult thing to frame in law I would have thought. In fact its easier for us, as the other countries associate the ticket with the car regardless of driver whereas we make it the driver. In order to get the EU rule to apply over here we must have had to put something in place to overcome this. Seems that its as much the fault of the lazy b**tards in Westminster as the jokers in Brussels/Strasbourg.

For us it should be easier. We are an island, no one leaves without the fines being paid, simples.

I did a few thousand miles in France over the May bank holiday weekend and I noticed WAY more cameras than ever before - many rear-facing as well, which is new for them, so my summer motorbike trips will have to be well-behaved too.

You can still be a hooligan ish in the mountains as there no mains electric up there for camera's,

Be careful though those Garda Civil b*stards on the bikes, and you definitely don't want to get involved with that lot!

Hey guys, now us law abiding citizens are going to be pursued if we dare take our maserati to France. Such discussions on an open forum will make us all targets. You should never exceed 120kmh on the autoroute just to show you respect their laws.

Yeah, maybe it's not a good idea to put things publicly, but 120kph... are you needing to save fuel? Speed limit is 130 in the dry.
