Went to Bill McGrath today and the guy did not think there was an excessive drain on the battery. He said the battery was weak and said it was not possible to test it unless it was fully charged. He suggested doing this and see how it goes.
My experience is that the Navtraks are battery killers. During my period of Maser ownership I continually suffered flat batteries, I would change them out for new ones and the same thing would happen ... then, with my last GranSport, I went to the effort of having the tracker taken out and, my goodness, it was like a *normal car* ... I could leave it sat idle for a month and it would start first time.
So I would disagree with Mr McGrath, unless he qualified his statement with "whilst the devices still run off their own battery".
FWIW, I think some (all?) Navtraks will beep when their batteries are getting low.
